I am a post anesthesia care nurse, when I got diagnosed with breast cancer I had to do my due diligence in picking a surgeon for my reconstruction. Being that I work with these surgeons, I picked the ones with the lowest “return to OR” for complications, as well as the final results of their patients. After meeting with a few surgeons, I decided to go with Dr Kapp! And I am so blessed that I made that decision. His calm and reassuring demeanor and his excellent work are second to none. As a nurse I know all the things that can go wrong, but everything went so right! My new breasts are like the originals but 2.0! He is knowledgeable and experienced and his staff are warm and friendly! I highly recommend!

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Dr. Kapp first planned to do a Goldilocks mastectomy. Once I was on the table, it turned out that wasn’t an option because of the location of my tumor, but he quickly adjusted and did what needed to be done to move me forward in treatment. His bedside manner was excellent—thorough, caring, and reassuring during such a scary time. I recently had my reconstructive surgery and I’m beyond grateful he’s been my surgeon throughout this journey. He truly made a very difficult experience easier to get through, and I’m so thankful for the care and compassion he showed me.

I saw Dr. Kapp this afternoon regarding a possible surgery . My good friend (and her family) has used Dr, Kapp for many years ( over 30 ) . Dr. Kapp and his office staff were very helpful , professional and friendly . I found him very easy to talk to . Unfortunately, my issue needed a different type of surgery , but Dr . Kapp recommended another surgeon and called my general doctor while l was in the office , to explain to her what my situation was and who he was recommending etc, to see if she agreed .

Dr Daniel Kapp is the perfect combination of being both knowledgeably skilled and compassionately caring. In my opinion, he is the perfect surgeon. I had a skin cancer on the side of my nose removed by my dermatologist and was referred to Dr Kapp for the repair and closure of the surgical wound. Dr Kapp removed a section of skin from near my ear and grafted this to my nose. He had told me within a year, the scars will become lighter and not even noticeable. Now 6 months later, he is right! The thin scar line near my ear matches perfectly to an identical line near my opposite ear, as if it was always there! And the 1/2 inch area in my nose is near invisible! That is the skill, now the compassion… On that last check up visit, I made it known to Dr Kapp that I had just received a highly abnormal mammogram and ultrasound that showed breast cancer and was to be scheduled for a biopsy, 3 weeks out. I was telling him this so that I might ask who he would recommend as an oncologist. Dr Kapp was immediately concerned and asked if I had the ultrasound report, which I showed him. He then left the room for a few minutes and came back with the name of an oncologist, whom I did go to. But more importantly he told me that based on the report, I could not wait three weeks for a biopsy. While he had stepped out, Dr Kapp had called the Breast center at Good Sam and arranged for me to go there and have a biopsy appointment that same week. Not only that, Dr Kapp personally walked me out of his office, across the parking garage, through the hospital, and directly into the breast center. He spoke to whomever needed to be spoken to and made sure I got the immediate attention I needed! Which I did. I had the biopsy 3 days later, an appointment with the oncologist two weeks after that, with my first chemotherapy the same week. Had it not been for Dr Kapp’s intervention, his compassion and the way he cares for each and every one of his patients, my treatment would have been delayed weeks, if not months. Dr Daniel Kapp is an exceptional surgeon and truly, an even better human being.

Dr. Kapp has been my surgeon for 2 breast procedure- I had a prophylactic mastectomy with reconstruction and an implant exchange with fat grafting. For reference I’m a 32 year old healthy woman with a genetic mutation that makes me predisposed to breast cancer. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr.Kapp and his team. When I first went to his office he was caring and took the time to explain the procedure to me. His office staff is top notch…special shout out to Daniela and Kelly. As far as my results of both procedures, I am honestly shocked with how amazing everything turned out. I actually look better now than I did before my mastectomy. I would recommend Dr.Kapp to all my friends and family who are looking for a fantastic, caring and talented surgeon.
