Carondelet Foothills Surgery Center

I had surgery today with Dr. Hu today through this location, every member off staff was awesome. From registration with Harmony, to the pre-op nurse Kaylene who helped me feel relaxed and comfortable for the procedure. Additionally, my anesthesiologist and operating room nurse Patrick were great at keeping me in good spirits and laughing all the way till they wheeled me in to the OR (also if you guys (anesthesiologist and patrick) see this i made a joke when you accidentally hit my bed into something, that my girlfriend must’ve been the one wheeling me around… she did in fact hit a curb in the parking lmao). Finally the recovery room nurse rachel was also superb about taking care of me post-op…. Thanks again to everyone involved in my procedure today and i would definitely recommend to anyone needing a procedure done!

the nurses were friendly, comforting and accommodating, they even gave me warm blankets and a cold rag for my forehead when i started to freak out after the iv went in. then after the surgery they gave me juice and applesauce. I felt at ease with the anesthesiologist and overall it was a very easy and nice experience!

I've had negative experiences at other surgery centers in Tucson, so I went in to this one prepared for the worst. I am happy to say I was wrong, and beyond pleasantly surprised by the wonderful care I got at Foothills Surgery Center. The checkin staff, every single nurse, my anesthesiologist, my surgeon, and literally everyone was caring, kind, and actually listened to me. I have a lot of medical trauma in my background, and many providers dismiss me when I tell them what needs to be done to make things go easier for both me and the staff. Every staff person at Foothills listened to what I told them, and actually did it, and it made the experience so, so much smoother than most surgeries I've had. I highly recommend this place!

My son had his surgery here at this facility and for working in healthcare I have to say from check in with Harmony to pre op nurse David and the surgeon Dr. Shapiro , anesthesiologist Dr. Hale and our recovery nurse, ALL went great!! They were so good with my son. HOWEVER, they definitely could use a new billing department. The one encounter with the billing department employee Tolia, over the phone, she was unprofessional and rude, when asked questions about the amount she was asking for she couldn't explain it, and started raising her voice with me cause I was asking questions. She kept saying I was interrupting her. As a parent I was already anxious about my son's surgery and she was horrible on the phone. I hope she never has to encounter that treatment at a healthcare facility. I work with patients everyday and would never treat a person this way. If she is your first encounter for this facility, good luck, just wait and deal with payment in person. If I didn't have a great surgeon, we would have switched facilities. Harmony explained it all in a couple minutes at check in. FOUR stars only for the medical staff!!

Medical care was top notch but be ready for a surprise bill shortly after the surgery. Not sure why you get a surprise bill when they said everything was cleared with insurance beforehand.
