I thought he was an excellent doctor I was a little leery at first but the guy is a nice guy knows what he's doing precise and right to the point he's a great doctor I'm glad I had him

Dr. Simmans is an amazing doctor, along with the whole wound care staff at Defiance Promedica... Background note: I have/had an incredibly serious wound that's taken quite awhile to heal. Almost there! Since the whole wound thing started, I had quite a lot of doctors not even wanting to go near the situation, kept sending me to the next person or just saying No. Dr. Simmans stepped up and took me on as a patient. This here makes me feel like he deserves a 10 star rating. (It was A LOT of doctors). Through the doctor visits he found infections at the very beginning stages. It didn't seem like I did but then culture's come back, sure enough. He was right. By then we were already a couple days into antibiotics. That's just 1 small example of his work, I really could go on and on about positives of being his patient, I'll spare the book. Overall, Dr. Simmans is really remarkable at his job. He's kept me alive and pretty well informed on whats been going on and why. He's got great doc-side manners, and is incredibly knowledgeable in wound care. The offices visit times are awesome, short, get the job done and out, unless I'm filled with a gazillion questions then he will take the time to explain everything, sometimes again and again. Everybody's been patient and friendly with me all these months of visits. Im not sure how to rate a human so this was my best attempt. But I really have nothing bad to say about Dr. Simmans. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing wound care.

Does not want to adequately treat. there is more monetary benefit in repeat visits. Arrogant. Indifferent attitude towards women. Disrespectful. Did not order testing for a suspected condition. Lied about improvement when the charted assessment did not support any improvement.

They don't care about future patients. I called on September 9 at 11:21 am and left a voice message for something urgent but I got no call back and it's October 2nd now.

I was disappointed with my experience. Although the doctor initially suspected an autoimmune condition, he did not pursue appropriate testing or evaluation to confirm it. Instead, I was subjected to costly, $2000 each, 5 second debridements during the office visit—despite this treatment being contraindicated for my suspected condition. As a patient with private insurance, the high copays added up quickly, with little to no benefit. Additionally, I found his demeanor to be lacking in courtesy and professionalism.
