The staff was very nice when I called to make my appointment. I’m new to St Pete so the kind, friendly telephone reception put me at ease. My appointment was on time. The facility is comfortable and clean. Chalkboards in the exam room have the names of the treating clinician and the assistant, which personalizes the visit. My exam was thorough with explanations and the opportunity for questions. I felt treated with dignity.

St. Petersburg Dermatology is most accommodating. It was going to take 4 months to get an appointment with my regular dermatologist. I called St Petersburg Dermatology and was given an appointment for the next day. Dr Gulliani and his associates gave me the most thorough skin examination I have ever had. He also treated an infected cyst and other areas of concern in the same visit. This office will be my choice going forward. I am extremely satisfied

MOHS I have loved this practice for several years. Dr. Johansen has been a kind, thorough and trusted provider. I recently saw another provider, Dr. Hearn, because she was available. Again, I was very happy with my care. Unfortunately, for the first time the provider told me I very likely have skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma was confirmed by my biopsy. I have had countless spots removed over the years but this was a first. Unfortunately, again, it was on my face just under my eye. I was referred by them to an in house doctor named Rachel Epstein for MOHS surgery. I was assured that she was trained in plastics and could provide an excellent cosmetic closure. I read her reviews and felt I was in good hands. It did not go as I hoped. When I expressed my concerns about the closure, I was dismissed by her and support staff. They expressed that I should be happy if the cancer is removed. Well, yes, that is the purpose of the MOHS procedure and the top concern. However, who doesn't care about a scar in the middle of their face?? I felt like a number on an assembly line and did NOT feel her concern or willingness of comfort me or assure me that I was in good hands and that she would do her best to give me the best surgical closure possible. Guess what? She didn't comfort or assure me nor did she give me a great closure. I am in the field and several days later when I removed my bandage it was obvious that there was a lip and distortion on my suture line. It was not flat as would be ideal. It's now nearly three months later and nothing has changed nor has the office provided any follow up to see how it is. If you need MOHS for an area you can hid and don't mind a flippant attitude from staff while you're skin is being cut out, I believe you'll be in good hands with Dr. Epstein.
