If I could give a zero star I would I normally do not leave negative reviews, but my experience with this doctor was beyond disappointing. I went in seeking help and information regarding a panniculectomy after dealing with ongoing issues, and instead of being treated with compassion or professionalism, I was met with rudeness, dismissive behavior, and very little explanation about anything. The doctor barely took the time to explain the procedure, risks, benefits, or even discuss whether I would qualify medically. I left the appointment feeling unheard, embarrassed, and completely discouraged and as if my time was WASTED. What upset me most was that the office flat out refused to even submit anything to my insurance to see if the surgery could be covered because he said insurance would absolutely not cover. They acted as though helping patients navigate insurance approvals was not worth their time, which is frustrating when these procedures are medically necessary for many people. Thankfully, I decided to seek a second opinion with an amazing doctor in Nashville, and the difference was night and day. That doctor actually listened to my concerns, thoroughly explained everything, answered every question I had, and treated me with kindness and respect. Their office worked directly with my insurance company, submitted all the necessary documentation, and my panniculectomy surgery was approved and covered by insurance. I am incredibly thankful I trusted my instincts and looked elsewhere. No patient should leave a medical appointment feeling dismissed or hopeless. If you want a doctor who genuinely cares about patients and is willing to advocate for them, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion!

He attempted an ultimately failed reconstruction after my double mastectomy. My sutures opened up on one side, and the tissue expander had to be removed. The following week, the sutures on the other side opened up as well, making the whole thing a failure. He was also not kind to me, he laid his failure at my feet for being overweight. This man operated on me 3 times, he knew the lay of the land, if he felt I was too overweight to get a successful reconstruction he should have recused himself from my surgical team. Maybe he shouldn't be assigned to any overweight patients, which of course is the majority of patients. To add further insult to injury, his entire team fell in line to protect his interests at the expense of mine. I did not want him operating on me again to remove the final tissue expander after the sutures opened. He lost my confidence. His team threatened me that if I wouldn't allow Dr Tung to operate on me again, no other surgeon would take me on as a patient. They told me this as I was literally bleeding from my open sutures. The out of pocket cost to me for the failed surgeries was just over 11 thousand dollars. After all the money, the pain and suffering (which is a LOT), the paid time off work, the terrible treatment, I had absolutely nothing to show for it, more disfigured than ever. Thanks, BJC and Dr Thomas Tung.

If I could give zero stars I would. This doctor is arrogant, tells you want you want to hear, then does want he wants. And when you question him about it, he lies and tries to throw some of the blame back on you! He was supposed to remove several masses but missed some, claimed to removed part of some, and even missed masses right next to his incisions. I asked him if he reviewed my chart before surgery and he said not right before surgery but that week. WHAT? No wonder he screwed up everything. If you're considering this "doctor," turn around and RUN... NOW!!!

Saw him 10 years ago, was having complications from my wrist surgery as it would start flaring up. Went to a new Ortho doctor and was told I had bone shard remnants in there. When I got my wrist surgery for the second time to remove the hardware, I was told that he stripped the screws into my bone and that the hardware wasn't able to completely come out.

I went to Doctor Tung for a consult for brachioplasty. I informed his staff that I already spoke with my insurance and that they would cover the surgery due to my weight loss. He came into the room for less than 4 minutes to tell me that insurance wouldn’t cover it, and he wasn’t going to try it, but then offered me to send me a quote for the pricing. And then never sent me the quote. However, he did charge my insurance $400 stating he spent 30 minutes with me. Which was a lie.
