Dr. Mackinnon is world-renowned, and having her treat my son is a privilege, but the real heartbeat of her practice is her incredible team—specifically Lead Coordinator, Molly Zemianek. Our case involved intense insurance roadblocks and a rapidly closing surgical window, but Molly was a relentless advocate for us every step of the way. She worked around the clock to coordinate a complex 6-code reconstruction protocol across state lines and navigated administrative hurdles that seemed impossible to ensure our son didn't lose his chance at recovery. Molly is the ultimate professional who treats her patients like family while operating at the highest clinical level. If you are facing a life-changing injury, she is the person you want in your corner. We cannot thank her enough.

Dr. Mackinnon is not only an incredible doctor, but an amazing human being. She is the best of the best. I developed long thoracic nerve palsy from a previous surgery. I can no longer raise my arm and my scapular winging is horrendous. Prior to seeing her I was scheduled to have surgery with another surgeon, but had to cancel because of the cost. I was at the end of my window to restore any function to my nerve, and Dr. Mackinnon made me a priority. She managed to get OR time for me and got me into surgery the very next week, which after talking with her scheduler, sounded almost impossible with how insanely busy her schedule was. This woman is a gem. She genuinely wanted to help me and made it happen on such short notice. I can’t say anyone else would have done the same. She is kind, empathetic, and absolutely brilliant. 100/10 would recommend. I will always be grateful, thank you so much for everything.

Dr. Mackinnon is absolutely wonderful. Her trailblazing work in nerve transfer techniques and nerve regeneration is awe-inspiring.

I am a VA community care patient that was transferred to her office. I told her staff what the VA said to me and did to me. I have been waiting 10 years for this surgery jumping through tape with the VA. Finally the VA did my right arm. I went back to the VA and mind you they wanted to do my left arm first... when I went back my VA doctor said my left arm is fine and I walked out of the office and said I want community care now I explain this to her office the horror of the VA I was glad to be seen by them. Mind you this is in may 2025 it is almost August a bunch of back and forth its in my file with a referral they said they will not see me and offer me absolutely no explanation. So I want an explanation. I feel she is being unethical and very unprofessional at this point. The VA has faxed you my referral 2x yet you don't schedule an appointment. Maybe it's political or something please put it in writing remember I'm a vet maybe you don't like soldiers. So let's clear this up. Still waiting for an appointment since may. Read on down I see other reviews with the same complaints.

I am writing this to make myself feel better. I know that Dr Mackinnon won't reply let alone read it. Last August 2023 I sent almost a years worth of records to her office. I was practically pleading with her to help me with an injury I suffered at home. I sent her all doctor notes, test results and records to see if she would review and let me know it she could help. After a month I called to see if they received my records. I was told they needed a referral from my last doctor. Which they received twice. I waited several months but never heard from her office. I finally contacted her office to request my records and images be sent back. They did send them back but did loose 2 of my MRI's. They basically never acknowledged me even though I was one of her patients in 2013. I believe Dr. Mackinnon is inconsiderate and full of herself. She and her staff seem to be too busy to care about anyone. Shame on her I feel sorry for her and her cold personality. I have already wasted too much of my time on her and her staff.
