All the staff I interfaced with were friendly and welcoming. I only had to wait a few minutes before being called back for my appointment. Dr. Glorioso was quick to diagnose my issue and the procedure she performed on me was thorough and professional. I highly recommend Ark La Tex Dermatology!

Dr. Futrell is awesome… This was my first time visiting this place. I did my research on this Doctor before I made my appointment… Great choice I made. She was patient and she listened to what I had to say. And what my needs were.

I would recommend Ark-La-Tex Dermatology to anyone that needs one. They are the best, had a place removed off my chest and never felt the needle or any of the procedure. They are well organized, very knowledgeable and friendly.

This was my first time seeing a dermatologist after I have been going to an esthetician for a year. I needed to get to the bottom of my underlying acne problems and I figured the best way was to go see a doctor. I was originally requesting another doctor but she didn’t have any availability. I was recommended to see Dr. Futrell because “she is an amazing doctor and patients love her.” Okay, cool. I got in two weeks after I set up my appointment and I had a list of my skincare ready to go to share with the doctor. I waited in the lobby for an hour to be seen even though I was 30 minutes early like they asked me to be. I went to the room and briefly talked to the nurse who was super nice. Dr. Futrell came in and not only did she not look at my skin at all, she didn’t even ask about the current skincare products that I was using to make sure it wouldn’t have an adverse reaction to what she was prescribing. The whole appointment was rushed. She simply sat across the room and said that she was going to put me on; tretinoin and doxycycline. I told her that I had an underlying GI issue (I went through a year long process of being diagnosed with cyclic vomiting syndrome) and after some easy research, doxycycline is known cause GI tract problems among other problems. Simple research and a discussion between us would have solved this. I did agree to the tretinoin and I was happy to be prescribed that. Although, I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet because I haven’t received the medication. Now here we are a week later and my prescriptions have still not even been called in. I have called the nurses and left multiple messages and nobody has given me a call back. I had to leave a message with the front desk two times already. I’m supposed to be going back in 5 weeks for a follow up and I can’t even do that because I haven’t been able to get my medicine. I understand staff shortages are a problem, but this is actually ridiculous. Please do not get this confused: the front desk ladies are excellent people and they were as helpful as they could be. I have no qualms with them and I really hope they all get raises for how much they have to deal with on a daily basis. I really hope they start getting these issues fixed. It seems like I’m not the only one having problems. We go to the doctor to be heard and voice our concerns and that is not what you get here. You get an hour wait with a 5 minute “talk” with the doctor. I’d recommend finding another dermatologist if you are seeking one.
