I am *so glad* I chose Dr Flaherty as my FFS surgeon. Their entire office offers a thoroughly affirming experience throughout the entire process, from consultation through post-op. They were responsive to my needs and I felt like I had agency and that my voice was taken seriously. AJ is excited about their work, skillful at hand, and simply knows how to get it right. Dr. Flaherty did my facial feminization surgery in June 2023. With other medical professionals and offices, I've had very mixed experiences. Before seeing Dr. Flaherty, I had actually went to a different provider to get FFS and it was an anxiety-inducing disaster where nearly every aspect of the process was fraught with miscommunication and a sense that I was never actually going to get the surgery. It took me nine months to finally call it quits with them. I was never actually given a surgery date. After, Dr. Flaherty was recommended to me by a trans community group I'm part of. Everything from scheduling the consultation to the pre-op visualization visit to the surgery itself and the recovery (so far) have been remarkable. Their whole team is professional and kind and affirming. I'm incredibly grateful for how the entire team treated me; it's to the point where if I really think about it, I get teary-eyed. The surgery results are... there's no words for it. I attached pictures. For the first time in my life, I can look at myself in the mirror and like what I see.

I would like to Thank Dr Flaherty for the high level of care and skillful execution of the removal of a rather large lipoma that was on back of my head under my upper trapezious muscle .Dr. Flaherty took the TIME to communicate fully & explain what surgery and recovery could entail.
