Dr Heringer and his team are professional, friendly and patient. They all provided great care from the initial consult to the day of surgery and multiple follow up visits. I had an upper eyelid and brow lift procedure - Dr Heringer delivered fantastic results, I'm very pleased. The results are very noticeable but very natural, exactly what I was looking to achieve. I really needed both upper and lower blephoroplasty surgery and I am very impressed and relieved that I got such excellent results. My hooded eyes were making it hard for me to read without using my fingers to hold up the hoods and my peripheral vision was compromised. My vision is excellent now (although I still wear glasses/contacts) and my depth perception is much improved when I hiking up and down steep hills, which was an unexpected benefit I was happy to discover. Dr Heringer is an excellent ocular surgeon with such a nice, personable demeanor— he comes off as humble and open to listening— not the least bit arrogant or bossy. He also had to contend with making incisions around my permanent (tattooed) eyeliner— I was amazed at how good the eyeliner looked when I was all healed up— it looked even better than before, after all was said and done, so I was surprised and happy how well he did in that regard. I’m still healing but after 9 weeks post surgery I know it was worth every penny and all the tenderness I experienced with my incision lines, tight sutures and the significant dry eye eventually resolved. Finding the right eye drops went a long way in bringing me comfort. Scarring is almost invisible at 9 weeks and improving with the use of the Siligen silicone they give you to use 2x a day. You need to be prepared for very swollen and painful eyes for a week or so— they feel gritty and the bruising looks like you were beat with a baseball bat, but you DO recover in time and if you are highly compliant with all of the instructions, by about week 5 you look pretty darn good and by week 9 you look very good. The fat transfer from my thighs didn’t hurt at all in my case and boy, did it make my face look more youthful. The fat transfer is to help smooth out the under eye bags. Before surgery I had to ice my eyes every morning so I didn’t look exhausted and then try to hide my puffy bags with concealer, and avoid salt like the plague. During the initial consult I said I didn’t think I wanted any added fat in my face since I don’t have a thin face, I thought I was plump enough, but Dr Heringer explained the lower blephorplasty looks much better with a small amount of one’s own fat injected under the eyes, so I trusted his experience and judgement. And it turned out I was so pleased with how well he integrated the fat— I look totally natural and not the least bit overdone in that regard. He didn’t overdo anything; he hit the sweet spot in every aspect of the procedures. I don’t think I could have had a better experience with Dr Heringer, his staff or his anesthesiologist. The surgery took place at the surgery center located across the parking lot from his office. You are made to feel special and valued, which is comforting. I had a few questions during my healing journey and he contacted me directly with his private cell phone number; always getting back to me as soon as possible with a willingness to help. The pre-surgery communication and written instructions from his office staff were also very clear and thorough; you could tell they put a lot of thought into everything. They even suggested you read their information 3 times at different intervals before your surgery date— I did this and realized I noticed so much more each time I read over it that I hadn’t really registered at the first reading. I think I ended up reading everything 5 times and by the time I went into surgery I felt very calm and confident that I was prepared and I was in excellent hands. I did hours of research on best practices for blephoroplasty from other practices around the country and Dr Heringer and his team adhere to all the best protocols. I would recommend Dr Heringer to my mother, sisters and best friends. I’ve been going though old photo collections this week and I think my “new” eyes look like they did 30 years ago, which is a real confidence boost. I don’t look like anybody different, I look like a well rested, happy and relaxed younger version of myself— exactly what was hoping for.

Dr. Heringer is Amazing!!! I had a lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat grafting, and I am very happy with the results. Dr. Heringer was professional, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I have to say recovery was smooth, and the results look natural and refreshed. I had a very simple issue that needed to be addressed. I stopped by in person after a strange phone call with a front desk attendant and had a referral sent from the Mayo Clinic. The front desk staff could literally not have been more rude or unhelpful if they tried, and it was like trying to move mountains to run a very simple question past the doctor. But they gate keep their surgeon in a way I have never experienced before and refused to check in regarding simple request. Very bizarre experience, and after the level of snobbiness I encountered, I would advise other people to stay away from this clinic. There is no need to go somewhere with such an impressive level of unpleasantness. Much better options around.
