I feel so blessed and grateful for Dr. Mathieson. He is an amazing doctor whose goal is you, the patient! He is caring, gentle, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and helps you along your journey every single step. My bilateral mastectomy surgery was comfortable with his confidence by my side. Many weekly visits are required -- his care and concern continue to make you feel that you certainly made the greatest decision ever in choosing him as your surgeon. I will always be thankful to have found him for this surgery. Shannon is his greatest office assistant complimenting his expertise. They are both just a phone call away! Dr. Mathieson has been a true partner in my reconstructive care. He is very professional and he has always taken time to explain and to answer my many questions. Dr. Mathieson is a straight shooter. Honest and compassionate all at the same time. He is thorough and is the only one that takes care of you before and after surgery. Very personable. His wife Shannon is also very personable and kind. The office is a two man operation, private, and quiet. Not an assembly line type office. You are NOT a number. A great experience over all.

I’m a breast cancer patient who had a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Dr Mathieson has done 3 surgeries on me and I would have him do another if necessary. He is a very precise, caring surgeon who explains things very well and takes his time answering questions. I never feel rushed. He is conservative in his approach and treatment which I also like. I love the small office. It’s just Dr Mathieson and his wife Shannon so calls always get answered and if they promise a call back, they do it. He has called me himself on occasion which not many surgeons do.
