I'm 1 month past my Inguinal hernia repair with mesh from Dr. Yunis. No insurance, so paid a very reasonable price out of pocket, best I can tell. Dr. Yunis and staff were absolutely outstanding! After a night of excessive exercise on vacation, I was riddled with pain and suffering at work, for months. A nice young lady PA evaluated me immediately, and scheduled surgery the next day, due to a cancelation. Dr. Yunis and staff whipped me through surgery in record time and sent me home, with a thorough post-op worksheet. I was back to work in a week, and now completely pain free! When I rip the other side out, there's no question. Center for Hernia Repair!!

Bottom Line Up Front: Middle aged dude, Bilateral inguinal mesh removal after years of suffering and quesioning my sanity. I have my life back. My mind is back. My motivation to do things is back. It can be done and safely with this team's level of expertise. Unabridged version: Today was my 3 month check in after bilateral inguinal mesh removal with Dr. Yunis. When you need expertise, crave reassurance, and aren't super knowledgeable at navigating the medical system, this team is who you want. Dr. Yunis himself: Wildy skilled. Listens AND responds expertly. Can and does provide the information I needed with words I've heard before lol Melanie: Reassuring and knowledgeable. She knows what's going to happen, when, and you'll trust her more and more as what she says will happen comes true exactly as she said it. I traveled from Wisconsin to Florida for this team's help and Melanie's insights helped me mentally, logistically, and consistently.

I researched my options thoroughly for my inguinal hernia repair. I am 75 but in good shape and was 100% committed to "no mesh" Shouldice surgery. My interview with Dr. Yunis was comfortable and went beyond his expertise. In 15 minutes, I got to know him personally and he got to know me. What was important to both of us. I trusted his skills, his perspective, his successful history... and I was impressed with his willingness to do any of the 4 surgical options if I was dead set on one. He was confident in his skill to successfully complete all surgical options. I wanted Shouldice and that is what we did... but not until 6 months later after I researched all options and doctors available to me. The day of the operation he talked to me before and after. He could of summed up his work with any adjective, but in post op he chose to say it was "perfect". He said it twice and then said he knew that I would be pushing too hard too early and to not do that. I went out for a walk an hour after leaving and then went out to dinner that night. I took Tylenol one day. Nothing else. That's it. It's 4 months later and everything has been normal for more than two months. I lightly felt the fold for months but was assured there was nothing I could do to hurt what Dr. Yunis did. I was encouraged to call his office with any questions and did check in twice over two months just to say it's all good but I felt it a little. I was told that would go away in time (I was cautious in recovery activities) and now I never even think about it. I jog every day and ride regular 15 mile bike loops. I was thorough in my search and 100% sure I made the right decision.

I had hernia repair surgery with Dr Yunis a few months ago. Everything went smooth. I decided to go with the "no mesh" option. So far, so good. Also, I requested local anesthesia which he was able to do. Very happy and highly recommend Dr Yunis and his excellent staff. I should add that I used the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. They were also great.

Dr Yunis & his entire staff are outstanding professionals & deeply caring about their patients. Dr Yunis took extensive time with me prior to surgery discussing every aspect. Post surgery whenever I reached out to the office each & everyone was extremely supportive. All I can say Dr Yunis is a fantastic doctor & genuine fine person along with the ability to having one superior support staff. Thank you AL Rubens
