Let me start this review by saying Dr. Charlie Chen exceeded my expectations for my breast reduction and augmentation! I'd be remiss if I didn't say, you really don't need to look any further than Dr. Chen. From the initial consultation, I felt incredibly comfortable and heard. He is kind, attentive, and really takes the time to understand your goals and give you all of the information you need to feel confident in your decision. Not to mention, he is an incredibly decorated plastic surgeon. I am SO happy with my results and it's only been 3 weeks. I am grateful to the entire surgical team, from the nurses to the anesthesiologist Dr. Chiu. They made sure I was comfortable during the procedure and took such good care of me. The office staff is so warm and professional, and throughout the entire process they were very communicative and thoughtful. This practice has really thought of every detail and rolls out the red carpet for their patients. I had realized after going home post-surgery they had given me a gift bag with a hand signed thank you note by the entire staff and some skincare products! It says so much about the vibe Dr. Chen has curated and how much they value their patients. Thank you so much to Dr. Chen and his staff! Without hesitation, I recommend this practice for your plastic surgery needs.

Dr. Chen and his team were wonderful. I saw four other surgeons before deciding on Dr. Chen, and I want to share what stood out to me the most. For starters, his bedside manner left quite an impression on me — he is humble, knowledgeable, and talented to say the least. I expressed concerns about my breast anatomy and he understood and executed my vision. His team is very welcoming, personable, and accommodating. When I voiced that I was still unsure about my implant size a week before surgery, they quickly ordered the additional sizes I wanted so I could make my decision with Dr. Chen on surgery day. Michelle, the pre-op/PACU nurse, is also such a sweetheart. She truly added to the positive experience I had with my breast augmentation. The last factor that influenced my decision was the post-op care that Dr. Chen provides. I left my initial consult knowing that I would be in good hands. I traveled out of town to have my surgery done by Dr. Chen, and my only regret is not going sooner. I’m three weeks post-op and I’m already loving my results!

Like many silent sufferers of gynecomastia, I found Dr. Chen through Reddit (an amazing source and community for gyno) and followed his work by seeing other patients’ results. After watching for a while, I finally worked up the courage to schedule a consultation — and I’m so glad I did. From the very beginning, I felt completely comfortable. She made the entire process seamless and stress-free. The nurses and techs were also so friendly and attentive, making sure I felt well taken care of both pre-op and post-op. Aimee is amazing at what she does — her lymphatic drainage massages are top-tier, and she provides fantastic tips and recommendations that really support a smooth recovery. Dr. Cho, the anesthesiologist, personally called me the day before surgery to review the anesthesia plan and answer all my questions. That extra step made a huge difference in how comfortable I felt going into the procedure. And of course, Dr. Chen is exceptional. He’s warm, personable, and made me feel confident from my first consultation all the way to the moment I woke up from surgery. I’m now four weeks post-op, recovery has been a breeze, and I couldn’t be happier with my results. I’m truly grateful to Dr. Chen and his entire team for making this experience such a positive one. Their new office in Point Loma is absolutely beautiful. I actually look forward to my visits — especially since it gives me the perfect excuse to grab ice cream at Stella Jean’s Ice Cream right after.
