I had an eyelid surgery with Dr. Sismanis, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very first consultation, he took the time to explain every detail of the procedure—what to expect, how it would be done, the recovery process, and all possible side effects. His thoroughness immediately put me at ease and made me feel confident I was in the best hands. The actual results speak for themselves. He did an amazing job—precise, natural-looking, and truly beyond what I was expecting. I’m so grateful for his skill and expertise. His staff deserves a shoutout as well. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming. They made the entire process—from scheduling to follow‑up—smooth and stress‑free. I would recommend Dr. Sismanis over any other surgeon in the area. If you’re considering eyelid surgery or any related procedure, he is absolutely the person you want to trust with your care. I would give more than 5 stars if could!!

Dr. Sismanis and his staff are excellent, they talk me through everything and made me feel extremely comfortable. Their bedside manner and care was above and beyond, I felt like a family member during the process. The surgery I received was painless and super comfortable, which speaks numbers because historically this is supposed to be a very painful procedure. I recommend everyone only seeing this group for their care. Would give 10 stars if possible!

My niece had eye surgery with Dr. Sismanis at VOS. The surgery was successful, and the staff treated her extremely well. However, her employer medical insurance refused to pay for the procedure despite having approved the surgery in advance. Rather than just presenting the bill to my niece, one of VOS's administrators, Kelly, called the insurance and advocated for the bill to be paid. The insurance company admitted their mistake and is paying the bill. As a family, we are incredibly grateful to VOS and Kelly for taking the extra steps to assist.

Here is my recent experience. For several days I have been trying (very unsuccessfully) to talk to a real live person at Dr Sismanis’ office who can help with scheduling. If I actually do get to talk to someone at the front desk, which is few and far between, because it normally goes straight to voicemail the majority of the time, they say “I will send a message to the scheduler”. But the scheduler for surgery NEVER calls back. There is always an excuse too why she’s not returning calls: she’s at clinicals or helping another patient or maybe just doing her nails. Obviously, the scheduler doesn’t care. I am trying to get an answer on when a surgery date has been set for a family member. The office calls and leaves a messsge saying please call us back immediately to confirm the date. However, when I do call back immediately, the calls all go directly to voicemail. The voicemail says they will return your call in 24 to 48 hours but that hasn’t happened. It’s extremely frustrating to try to get hold of anyone in the office who is willing to actually help. It’s not rocket science, it’s what date is the surgery. You either know it or you don’t but please respect the client and have someone who knows something call you back in a timely manner. That is called customer service. Unfortunately, in today’s world, this younger generation doesn’t understand and doesn’t care. Hopefully, one day they will be in this same situation and finally understand how frustrating it is to try to get an answer for something that they need.

They canceled my surgery one hour before on the morning of, after I took sick leave for the whole day. I was about to walk out the door to attend the appointment when they called. They showed absolutely no remorse and no attempts to resolve the issue or even refund me at all for the co-pay I paid for my pre op screen for this surgery. As a working mother who has a hard time to find time to do things like this, I’m very disappointed.
