My experience with Dr. Clifford Smith and his exceptional team Barb and Ian were truly outstanding from beginning to end. Surgery can be an overwhelming process, but their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail made the entire experience remarkably reassuring. Dr. Smith combines clear expertise with a calm and caring approach that immediately builds confidence. Barb, his nurse, and Ian, his assistant, were equally impressive, kind, patient, and consistently attentive. At no point did I feel rushed. They took the time to ensure every question was answered thoroughly and that I felt fully informed and comfortable before leaving the office. This is clearly a well run practice built on teamwork, respect, and genuine care for patients. The level of service exceeded my expectations, and I am deeply grateful for the care I received. I would recommend Dr. Smith and his team without hesitation to friends and family seeking exceptional medical care.

I had a very pleasant experience with Richmond Surgical. Everyone made me feel very comfortable at a very uncertain time of my life. From the time I walked in the door I was greeted with a pleasant smile. My surgeons nurse was very pleasant & explained everything that was to take place at this visit. Then I met my surgeon Dr. Hutchins who was awesome! She explained all options & what procedure was recommend and answered all of our questions. I left feeling very satisfied with my care team!

Every single interaction I have had, from the check in process, to nurses Barbara, Cathy and Amber, and Dr. Smith have all been exceptional! They exhibited care and concern for me as a patient with frustrating gastrointestinal issues that impacted my daily life. Everyone was more than happy to answer any questions and made sure I understood fully all instructions and procedures. Barbara went above and beyond to ensure all my insurance information was accurate so there would be no issues with Cigna, as I was recently married and still in the process of changing my name on my policies. I highly recommend this practice without reservation! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Smith and his staff.

I love this practice. The Dr Hutchins & the staff are absolutely wonderful! They are there during one of scariest times of your life, but they are kind, patient and reassuring. They take the time to explain everything thoroughly & make sure I understand everything. They answer all of my questions and never rush. If I HAVE to go through Breast Cancer I am so glad to have the staff of Richmond Surgical at my side!!

Dr. Deal is the best doctor I’ve ever been to. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 and since then I’ve also had him do a hernia repair. He is the best!!!! He has brought me through some of my darkest days, honestly one of the best humans I’ve ever come into contact with. You will never be sorry entrusting him with your health.
