Not only have I worked with Dr. Blount for many years but my spouse has been a patient of his both surgically and non-surgically. He is hands down one of the best providers, surgeons & people I have ever met. Working with Dr. Blount was always the best but now being on the other end of the patient side we get to see everything from another perspective and I honestly didn't think I could like this guy anymore than we already did! Dr. Blount from the bottom of my heart thank you for taking such good care of my most important person & even more so for giving Perla her hand back!

Dr. Blount is an excellent surgeon who spared me a much more intensive surgery by skillfully repairing a pressure wound. He’s an excellent listener, has positive energy and a great “Can Do” attitude.

Dr. Blount is an amazing doctor! My mom was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth (mouth cancer) in July of ’21 and Dr. Blount was on the surgical team that that did the removal and reconstruction. He took the time to explain the surgery/potential outcomes, answered all of our questions, and managed our expectations in terms of recovery. Since this was a complex and lengthy surgery, he called multiple times to go over the progress made and kept us informed while addressing our concerns. It made it so much more manageable to get through the duration of the surgery by having a surgeon that was an effective communicator and cared. During her hospital stay, he was around to answer questions, show us what he was looking for when examining her, and was personable. Subsequently, he performed additional surgeries/procedures while she was in the hospital and has since been integral in her cancer care. Dr. Blount is caring, meticulous, talented, intelligent, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anybody needing his expertise.

I saw Doctor Blount in 2024 for nerve issues in my foot. Since then, I have had further diagnostic test ran and I have a compressed nerve which I need decompressed. I scheduled a follow on appointment and his office cancelled it saying I saw him in 2024 without seeing the additional tests I had ran.

Flew in with my husband to see two surgeons at Dignity; the hernia surgeon that I saw recommended Dr. Blount to remove excess skin caused by a rare disease that I had for two decades. Dr. Blount stated that he could do the procedure and went so far as to schedule it along with pre and post-op appointments. Two weeks before the surgery date (after we'd booked and paid for lodging, flights, etc), he called and contradicted everything he'd originally told us. When we asked why he'd lied during our consultation instead of being transparent about his ability (or lack thereof) to complete the procedure, he agreed that he was wrong, but still offered not so much as a sincere apology. As someone who has seen many doctors over the years and battled some pretty serious health issues, I'm disappointed that this doctor and Dignity Health in general don't live up to the standards that they claim to embody. On the other hand, I'm grateful to have dodged a bullet by not proceeding with surgery with this doctor. Honesty and empathy are basics when it comes to choosing a healthcare provider; Dr. Blount has neither.
