Before selecting Dr. Joseph M. Serletti for a procedure on my face due to a medical situation, I thoroughly reviewed his academic contributions, including his co authorship of Current Reconstructive Surgery. This gave me full confidence that I was in the best hands. The procedure was impeccable. His precision delivered exceptional results. The treated area shows no visible scarring, far exceeding my expectations. His skill, expertise and professionalism are truly outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Serletti without reservation.

I was Dr Serletti's first patient at Penn after he relocated from Rochester, 16 years ago. He performed my breast reconstruction after my breast cancer surgery. I can't say enough great things about him. His demeanor is very professional, and he does wonders.

Dr Serletti you are a blessing with your profession. Professional and an excellent doctor with your talents. My deepest appreciation for removing the compromised right side that was capsulized and ruptured . I am healing everyday from my surgery date 7/272023.Thank you and God Bless you and your family and the team at Penn medicine . Penn medicine is a 10 ++ of excellence.

Dr. Joseph M. Serletti is the best of the best. My Wife has suffered through two years of bad reconstructive breast surgery and chronic pain. Dr. Serletti fixed what others had done incompetently. A new day has dawned and we will get the rest of our lives back. From the first parking attendant, to the elevator lobby guides, to the receiving desks and on time appointments, U of P, Dr. Serletti and the support staff are a caring professional first class experience. Do yourself a favor, start here, nowhere else. You’ll be wasting your time and maybe your health. Even the Valet personnel are pleasant!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Dr. Joseph M. Serletti, MD, FACS. I was 37 years young (in 2017) when I was shocked and traumatized being diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer in my left breast with zero family history of any cancers. We lived in Lancaster, PA and we were referred to Dr. Serletti through the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Center. Apparently he would come to Lancaster to perform whatever plastic surgery I decided on but I had to drive the 1.5+ hours to Philadelphia for my initial appointment (which was not an issue). After waiting 1.5 hours (and asking the front desk), they finally told us that he had an emergency and wouldn’t be meeting us that day. However, the office ladies were able to overwhelm me with a photo album of surgeries that had never been discussed prior, it was terrifying and traumatic. I left in tears. Long story short, a few months later he came with his students to Lancaster General Health to perform my bilateral mastectomy with direct to implant reconstruction. When I woke up from the surgery, he was nowhere to be found (and I never saw him until my 2 month follow-up) but one of his students (who I am 95% sure performed the surgery (UPENN is a teaching hospital)) checked on me a few times. Dr. Serletti? No call, no follow up, nothing until my 2 month follow-up. I had my drains in, per the Barshinger Center, for 3 weeks due to the high drainage. At my 2-3 month appointment with him (outside of Philadelphia), I pointed out the issues I was having with the results of my surgery, I was 37, hadn’t had children, had perky perfect breasts to begin with… his response was basically ‘if I showed a picture of your breasts to all my golfing buddies, they would give ME an A+.’ I couldn’t even lay on my stomach anymore, they just didn’t feel right. He told me at that appointment that he could fix my concerns but his condescending, pompous and narcissistic personality was a continuous turn off and I ended up having a revision done by an amazing PS on the Mainline (see my other Google reviews). I do not, nor would I ever, recommend Dr. Joseph Serletti for any plastic surgery and especially if you or your loved one are battling cancer. His surgical results and narcissistic attitude alone should be enough to steer you elsewhere. I never experienced any bedside manner, especially in my time of need.
