While looking for surgeons to have a rhinoplasty/septoplasty done, reviews like these were a huge part of my research. Dr.Krein gave me my dream nose. He is so knowledgeable and very kind. He listened to everything I had to say and took everything into consideration. He gave me exactly what I wanted and more! I truly trusted him with my face and he did not fail to amaze me. If you are looking for a surgeon who is kind, talented, and takes your thoughts into consideration then he is your guy. I promise you will not be disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Krein and his incredible staff. He recently performed a lower blepharoplasty and brow lift on me and the experience was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. From the moment I walked into the office for my first consultation I felt super comfortable, and was able to have a very real conversation with Dr. Krein about what was bothering me as well as my hopeful expectations for surgery. Not only did he talk to me with warmth and understanding, but he made absolutely perfect suggestions about what I should have done in order to get the results that I wanted. Our conversations continued right up until I was wheeled into the operating room and his aesthetic decisions were absolutely spot on. His team in the office and the OR - from beginning to end - is wonderful, warm, and treated me with respect and dare I say it, a sense of fun (which is exactly what I was looking for). Everything was completely explained, from the preparation to the procedure itself to the aftercare. Even getting my stitches out this week was a pleasure, and I got to spend time with his staff discussing the best ways to heal. I never felt rushed, I never felt pressured, and I felt very safe in his hands and at Jefferson. I am about a week and a half out of surgery and already am getting compliments! I cannot recommend Dr. Krein and his staff enough - if you are considering any facial enhancements or surgery you absolutely must book a consultation with him and you will be in incredibly good hands.

I had cosmetic rhinoplasty with Dr. Krein a few years ago, and unfortunately I deeply regret the decision. I explicitly communicated that I did not want my nasal tip significantly narrowed, but that is exactly what was done. The result does not fit my face well, feels pinched, and looks unnatural compared to my original anatomy. What has been most frustrating is that during follow-up visits, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. I was told my outcome was “excellent” and “fantastic” despite the fact that I was clearly unhappy and uncomfortable with the appearance of my nose. Since then, I have consulted with multiple experienced revision rhinoplasty specialists who identified significant cosmetic issues, including loss of tip projection, loss of tip rotation, an over-resected tip, and an unnatural bridge-to-tip relationship. Looking back, my consultation also felt extremely rushed. After reviewing my chart, I realized that some of the concerns that mattered most to me were not even documented. I do think Dr. Krein is a kind person and likely a competent surgeon in many respects, but rhinoplasty is highly aesthetic and requires both technical skill and aesthetic judgment. In my case, I do not feel my goals were respected or achieved, and I do not feel comfortable pursuing revision with him. If he’s not able to see an issue, there is nothing for him to fix. I am now facing the emotional, physical, and financial burden of seeking corrective surgery elsewhere. Additionally, I waited over 45 minutes for appointments on multiple occasions. Overall, this was an extremely expensive and emotionally difficult experience for me.
