Dr Newman is top notch and he took great care of me. He fully addressed my concerns about my eyes. I trusted him and he did an excellent job. The price was very fair too!

Recently I went to see Dr. James Newman to remove the bags of fat from underneath my eyes and by far that was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I look great, the result is outstanding and I get compliments every day. Dr. Newman is excellent at what he does. I would give him more than five stars if I could. Everything about that experience was unbelievable. The place is super clean and so comfortable. Prices are incredibly low compared to other doctors. His staff is outstanding and very accommodating. I would definitely go back for my next procedure.

I paid $275 for a facelift consultation with Dr. Newman and felt it didn’t provide the value I expected. The 25-minute appointment included a brief exam and photos taken on his iPhone, but there was little discussion of his facelift approach or realistic outcomes. When I asked for before-and-after photos, I was directed to his Instagram. Hair loss products were also offered, though that wasn’t the purpose of my visit. While the staff was polite, the consultation wasn’t detailed enough to justify the above-market cost, especially since the fee can’t be applied toward a procedure. UPDATE: After this review, the practice kindly reached out and offered more time with the doctor along with additional before-and-after photos. I appreciate their thoughtfulness and the friendly front desk team, but I’ve decided not to pursue surgery here. My rating reflects my initial consultation experience.

I’m really concerned about the safety and legality of this practice. A medical assistant Natalie appears to be performing Sofwave treatments, which is not the same as giving a routine injection or helping with basic rooming tasks. Sofwave is an energy-based aesthetic procedure and should be performed by an appropriately licensed and trained provider, or at minimum by someone whose scope has been clearly verified under California law. California medical assistants are unlicensed and limited to basic, routine, non-invasive technical supportive services under supervision. They should not be independently performing procedures that require medical judgment, patient assessment, energy settings, or treatment decisions. Patients deserve to know who is actually performing their treatment and what that person’s license or qualifications are. I would strongly recommend anyone considering treatment here ask directly: “Who will be performing the Sofwave procedure, what is their license, and is this within their legal scope of practice in California?” I hope the office clarifies this, because patient safety and transparency matter.
