I love Dr Nguyen My right breast looks so natural and beautiful, my left she lifted and filled with my own fat to make them even. I am very thankful for her.

Dr. Nguyen is a surgeon of excellence. Incredibly blessed to have had her as my surgeon.

I was so hopeful that I might find a supportive and caring doctor to finally help treat my lipedema. Unfortunately, Dr. Nguyen said the same hurtful, fat-biased things to me right before my surgery that many other doctors have said before, which reveals the low level of training received on the diseases of obesity and lipedema. She scolded me for gaining weight, right as we were going into the operating room, as if gaining weight for someone with these diseases is solely controlled by lifestyle choices. She even said that she'd do what she could, but that my weight being higher than the year before could negatively affect the surgical outcome, which made me scared and even more nervous before surgery. I could tell the nurses were a little surprised and apologetic for what the doctor had said. Also, the nurse practitioner working with the doctor (which is who I'm supposed to work with for follow-up) doesn't always respond to messages - it's been almost a month since I wrote her with questions and no response. They also never scheduled a 6-month follow-up appointment to measure my legs before and after. I feel they truly don't care about me as a patient. I guess I have to continue my search for a doctor to finish the surgeries that I need, because I won't be going back to this doctor.

I have had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience with post-operative care under Dr. Nguyen and her clinic. Following my double mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstruction, I’ve faced consistent delays, cancellations, and a lack of compassion that no patient—especially one recovering from breast cancer—should ever endure. The clinic is routinely behind schedule; I’ve waited over two hours on multiple occasions just to be seen for post-op appointments while in significant pain and emotional distress. Scheduling follow-up care has been a nightmare—appointments are months out, and several have been canceled at the last minute, even after I traveled hours to attend. One of the most heartbreaking parts of this experience was losing a nipple post-surgery and having to wait nearly a month for any corrective action. The lack of urgency or empathy was devastating. Breast cancer is an incredibly emotional and traumatic journey, and instead of helping me recover and move forward, this clinic has made it harder. I truly feel like just a number here—not a person, not a patient. The care feels impersonal, rushed, and disorganized. Sadly, this has been one of the worst healthcare experiences I've ever had. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for breast cancer care. You deserve a team that is responsive, empathetic, and truly invested in your healing and well-being.
