Where do I even begin? I’ve been wanting to get gynecomastia surgery since I was about 16 years old. It was my only real insecurity, and something I struggled with for a long time. After doing extensive research on surgeons in California, I came across Dr. Cruise—and I can honestly say I have zero regrets choosing him. I had my procedure done under local anesthesia last week, and the entire experience has been painless and incredibly smooth. Dr. Cruise and his team have been extremely friendly, supportive, and responsive to any questions I’ve had throughout the process. My recovery has been going very well so far, and I’m already excited to see the final results in the coming weeks as everything continues to heal. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Cruise and his amazing nurse Dana she was so helpful and made me feel so at ease with the entire process. If it wasn’t for her I probably would have freaked out, but she is so knowledgeable and so warm hearted that her energy made the entire process feel like a piece of cake. Dr. Cruise himself is also a wonderful doctor and he really does care about his patients. He left me with results that have now healed a big insecurity of mine. When I came to him originally, he deemed me as a level two but changed that to level four and I'm so happy that I followed his advice. I had Gynecomastia surgery on 10/16/25 under local anesthesia in his Newport Beach office. Like many, my gynecomastia presented itself during puberty and never went away. Even at my fittest and leanest times from the military and mid-20s I was always somewhat insecure with puffy nipples and the condition. Wearing an undershirt and heavier material to subdue its appearance. I would always pop onto various forums and review possible specialists to treat the condition but never pulled the trigger. Earlier this year I scheduled a consult with Dr. Cruise's office and couldn't be happier. Dr. Cruise and his team were confident and knew exactly what was needed. Surgery was very efficient, and while I did feel some of the procedure it was overall pleasant. Early healing is going well and I just got my drains out today. I know it is early in recovery so I will update this, if necessary, as healing progresses over the next several months.

I came to Dr. Cruise with a mild case of gynecomastia. Although I was initially skeptical about surgery, I was reassured that because I was young and in great shape, I would likely achieve an excellent result. Based on that advice, I decided to move forward with gynecomastia surgery with Dr. Cruise. Unfortunately, my results were far from what I expected. Shortly after surgery, I noticed significant issues. On one side, I developed a severe incision wound that eventually turned into a noticeable scar. On the other side, not all of the gynecomastia tissue was removed, leaving my chest looking deformed when flexing. I raised these concerns very early in the recovery process, but I was repeatedly told that things would improve with time. I trusted Dr. Cruise and waited patiently, hoping the results would eventually get better. Sadly, they never did. When I followed up over a year later to discuss my concerns, I felt dismissed and disrespected. Dr. Cruise gave what I believe was a dishonest evaluation of the outcome, laughed off my concerns, and told me he didn’t care how the results looked when flexing. He also insisted there was no deformity, despite the issue being extremely visible. What made the experience even more frustrating was that once the procedure was done, it genuinely felt like they no longer cared because they had already taken my money. Instead of addressing my concerns seriously or working toward a solution, I felt brushed aside and made to feel unreasonable for bringing up obvious issues with my results. I’m a very reasonable and understanding person, and I know that no surgery is guaranteed to be perfect. Complications and imperfect outcomes can happen. What bothered me most was the lack of accountability, empathy, and willingness to acknowledge the problems. Now, I’m left having to find another surgeon to correct the deformities from this procedure.
