Dr. Kris B. Shewmake, MD

Dr. Shewmake is an extremely skilled surgeon! He and his staff are very dedicated to making their patients feel comfortable and make themselves available. I had an allergic reaction to steri strips after a major surgery and all I had to do was text Shewmake and I had steroids within a couple hours. His nurse Jill is so awesome and relatable and is great at making you comfortable and I never left with and of my questions or concerns unanswered. I would recommend over and over again! Great doc but also just a great guy in general!

Dr. Shewmake and his staff provide truly outstanding care and attention to every patient. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. Dr. Shewmake is incredibly talented at what he does and always takes the time to make patients feel comfortable and cared for. His staff is just as wonderful and goes above and beyond every visit. The only thing that might need a little improvement is Dr. Shewmake’s jokes… but thankfully his medical skills are much better than his comedy career!

Dr. Shewmake and those who work with him in his cosmetic surgery practice, The Surgical Pavillion, and Zen Regenerative Wellness are wonderfully committed, caring, expert professionals who made my experience extrememly positive. I highly recommend this practice and the many opportunities to be cared for by their partners. Thank you, RaeAnn, Jill, Cristi, Tara, JoAnn, the nursing support I received at The Burgundy and at The Surgical Pavillion, my wonderful anesthesiologist from Lawrence County -- it's your fault, I cannot recall your name --, and, of course, Dr. Shewmake! Not quite ready to post photos but expect to be increasingly well-pleased as I continue to heal.

I researched and interviewed 4 physicians over the span of 2 years. Anytime you have a life and body transforming experience it is definitely not to be taken lightly. Dr. Shewmake and his staff listened to me right from the beginning on what I wanted and answered every question thoroughly and with compassion and experience. They were professional, experienced, compassionate, understanding and genuinely supportive and caring from beginning to end! One of the best decisions I have made in my life and I do not have enough words to express how happy I am with the results! Thank you Dr. Shewmake and staff!!!
