Dr. K is amazing surgeon and a remarkable person. He has performed two total knee replacements for me over a 3 year period and I've had fantastic outcomes. He is a skilled surgeon and has an incredible reputation in the community with many other professionals, therapists, etc. Almost as equally important is his caring and personable approach to the patient. He takes time, answers questions, gives appropriate advice, and just generally overall cares. He makes you feel like he's your friend. I highly recommend Dr. K!

I had bilateral total knee replacements. The overall care, compassion, conversations, Knowledge, Therapy from day one in office to my five year follow up has been nothing but the best! Dr. Karthkeyan is the best Doctor. Takes his time to explain issues and questions. Honestly, I could go on and on with my experience and I can’t say enough to describe the care this Dr. Provides, but the patient has to listen and follow his instructions. I feel a lot of patients don’t do this, and then they blame the Doctor.

I could never say enough good things about Dr K. He is and has, never failingly, been courteous, kind, helpful, compassionate and all other words of praise for his manner and his surgical talent. I have had total hip replacement, total knee replacement and recently suffered a fall that needed hip surgery (not the one that had already been replaced) . I am now recuperating from that surgery, which was done last Wednesday, July 20. I feel I am progressing nicely and on schedule. Staples coming out on Monday. I'll be seeing Brad Robertson, PA, who has also always been kind and helpful. Lexington is fortunate to have Dr K and his supporting staff and I would, and have, highly recommended Dr K to any and all who have inquired. My rehabilitation has been fast and very successful. I feel I owe a great portion of that to my surgeon, Dr K!

Dr. K was wonderful. He sat down and explained every detail of my condition and also explained the surgical process, both before and after expectations. I lost track of the time, but he was totally unhurried when in the room with me and he must have spoke with me for at least 30 minutes or more which is unheard of for most doctors. Many are what I call doorway doctors, they stand in the doorway while they speak to you and act as if they have other more important patients to tend to than yourself. If you have 3 questions, they will address the one one care the least about and ignore the other 2. Dr. K is knowledgeable, considerate and a first rate professional. I would recommend him to anyone suffering with chronic knee issues.

I was referred for a knee replacement. I had been having problems with infection. We did an antibiotic spacer for a year before my knee replacement was scheduled. The knee replacement went great. So great that I was up and walking in the next day. He came in and said why are you putting weight on your leg? I said nobody told me I couldn’t. I didn’t talk to anyone after the surgery. And why didn’t the nurses let me know that I had to have assistance anyhow, a month after my knee replacement I started having swelling, redness, pain. I went to physical therapy at Cardinal Hill and my physical therapist called Dr. K Asap. I went to get a sonogram on my leg to see if I had a Blood clot. Well, there was no blood clot and they told me to go straight to the hospital. I had contacted Ecoli. We had to do emergency surgery to remove my metal. A week later we had to do another surgery to put anabiotic spacer back in. I was on a PICC line with antibiotics. Somehow miscommunication, they found out that I had osteomyelitis and he dismissed me and sent me to Uk. Then when I went to Uk, they kept me on the anabiotic spacer for another year. Then Dr. Selby decided to take my knee joint out and fuse my leg together so I walked around with a stiff leg for over a year and when I mean a stiff leg, I mean when I sit down it’s erect. It was 3” shorter than the other leg. Needless to say in 2021 I am an above knee Amputee. After the Ecoli, I never even saw Dr. K again. The only person I saw was his PA. I thought he was a good doctor not a coward. Makes me wonder if they know the day were negligent.
