Dr Totten is absolutely amazing! She just did surgery on my husband with bad lungs and he did wonderful. Another surgeon was afraid to touch him. She made us feel so much more at ease going in. Wonderful bed side manner and excellent abilities! A+

Dr. Totten and her team recently repaired three hernias in my abdominal wall, one of which was causing problems at my work. In our first visit she described the approach she would take to repair them and quickly set up a date for surgery. On the day of surgery, each member of her operating team came to my hospital room to introduce themselves and explained their role. I was left feeling that the group of specialists she had assembled were intelligent, caring people, who's mission also included making me understand the procedure they would perform and to help relieve my personal stress, rather than simply taking me along for the ride. I enjoyed talking to them and was left feeling much more at ease. Three days later, Dr. Totten personally called me at home to see how I was doing and to make sure I was following her convalescence directions. I assured her I was and I have a follow-up appointment with her in thirty days. The surgery went off without a hitch, I’ve healed quickly, and I no longer have the problems as before. Thank you, Doctor Totten. Consider this a FIVE STAR review from me.

I have an upcoming ventral hernia surgery with her and when I first met her she explained everything I needed to know and was so thorough. Her nurse Stephanie is also wonderful and always available when I had questions.
