Impressive facility! As I arrived at the E R, I was checked in quickly and getting my vitals checked. Within 20 mins. I was in a room. Absolutely the BEST hospital in Jacksonville Florida and surrounding areas. EVERY staff member that I have come into contact with are wonderful!! Knowledgeable, professional they worked together like a well oiled machine. Mayo exceeded my expectations. I felt better just being here! Charlotte Ross

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville really has a problem. Everyone wants to go from good to better to best. What do you do when you are the best? Mayo truly is the best. I cannot think of any way that they can improve their services. The facility is like a 5 star hotel. The artwork is spectacular. The employees are professional, caring, and personally engaging with the patients. The testing/labs, from simple to complex, are stellar and the doctors? They are brilliant and totally committed to their profession and most of all to their patients. The fact that they work as a team just makes it the very top of healthcare.

Went to Shands for my original diagnosis of Neuroendocrine cancer stage 4. Without a biopsy I was told I had 3-6 months to live and if I had chemo I could potentially get a year. Got my second opinion at Mayo and have been there ever since! Started my treatment (PRRT) and the hope they have given me along with the service and friendly staff is beyond what I have expected. I love the people at Mayo and I am blessed to have them taking care of me. Always friendly, clean environments and just all around amazing. Thank you Mayo Clinic!!!

I had cervical spine fusion from C4-7 in 2022, the care was amazing and my recovery was too! My husband had prostate cancer surgery Aug 2025, EXCELLENT CARE, full recovery! Yesterday he had surgery on his lumbar spine- he is doing exceptionally well. We love Mayo Clinic!

I was extremely disappointed in my experience at Mayo Clinic. They scheduled me in the wrong department. It was basically a big waste of time and money. When I went to inquire at patient advocate center at the Davis building, the woman I spoke to was very accommodating and friendly. She told me what to do and I did it. She ended up getting in trouble for helping me from her supervisor! This tells me that Mayo Clinic is clearly a bureaucracy. I felt rushed during my initial appointment. I certainly felt like a number instead of a person and my concerns were just brushed under a rug. The only reason why Mayo Clinic is getting two stars instead of one is because the staff at their radiology department rocked! There is very limited parking for such a well known hospital. If staying at a hotel I highly recommend one with complimentary shuttle service to the Mayo Clinic or else you won't make your appointment! I followed up with my primary care back home and they when I told them about my experience, they were appalled. Luckily my primary care doctor cares about me and ran necessary tests that Mayo Clinic didn't run! Oh did I mention that when I was in my initial appointment, I brought up concerns about previous abnormal bloodwork and the doctor blatantly said I don't deal with bloodwork. And didn't even think to refer me to someone who does deal with bloodwork within the system. This hospital is supposed to be multidisciplinary and it was far from it. I would avoid Mayo Clinic at all costs! Stick with your doctors at home!
