I waited a while to get an appointment, but it was worth it! Dr. McDevitt exceeded my expectations. Concerned, attentive, efficient, honest and prescribed an eye drop and topical. My swollen eye is improving and I am grateful to him and his staff

I recently had eyelid surgery done by Dr. Timothy McDevitt in December of 2020. I have been a patient of his for several years now. He has been treating me for dry eyes. The surgery went very well. The nurse and anesthesia doctor were so professional answering all my questions. Carla at the desk also answered my questions about the medications that had been prescribed. I did use the pain medications that were prescribed and the cold compresses were a big help with the swelling. The ointment was a big help with the stitches. I am very pleased with my surgical experience and the results of the surgery.

I found an efficiently run office; wait was not long, the consultation was thorough, and the path forward was given in great detail. I was given (multiple times) opportunity to ask questions with full responses. I was listened to, and heard. The surgical phase was the same: organized and efficient. I was fully informed of what was going on at all times, and my well-being was solicited throughout the procedure. The follow-up phase was fully outlined. My referring physician told me this was the best place to go for this procedure, and she was absolutely right.

Medically competent, smooth & peaceful procedure & collaboration amongst other professionals in the room. It would have been nice if they (the doctors) invested in at least 3 minutes of human relationship. Some suggestions: * Aloha - How are you today? * Good to see you today! * Don't worry, we will take great care of you today *Orient the patient to what will happen, procedurally before laying them down and starting. *A little oral summary of their plan so that the patient (the individual paying them money so they can live the life they live) can better process, mentally and emotionally, what's going on *Thank you for choosing to do business with us! We appreciate you. To someone unaccustomed to the surgical world, those kindnesses are priceless. They would have helped me feel less like a pin cushion and more like a person, a customer that they truly value. One thing I greatly appreciated: the anesthesiologist patted my arm reassuringly at the end of the surgery. That simple gesture communicated that human reassurance and that he regarded my humanity. The ladies were kind & communicative: Mel & Maria & the first gal to bring me into the room. Sincerely, 🌸Maile
