Dr. Van Pelt and her staff are amazing! From my first consultation visit, surgery day, to the post-surgery visit, everyone involved was incredible. I felt so cared for, as a person, not just another patient number. Dr. Van Pelt 'fixed' me beyond my expectations -- I'm thrilled with the results. In 2011 I had bilateral mastectomies secondary to breast cancer. Although my surgeon at the time was highly recommended, I was not happy with the results but did not know if it could be much better. A few years later I had my first revision at a major university hospital and the results, although better, were not great. In December 2019 I had a second revision by Dr. Van Pelt due to contracture. I was very hesitant about the surgery but I am SO happy I went through with it! The results are so much better than I expected! I wish I had had Dr. Van Pelt from the beginning!! Dr. Van Pelt and her entire staff have been amazing to deal with!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Van Pelt and everyone at Partners In Plastic Surgery after a disappointing consultation with another surgeon. I'm not from Grand Rapids and so I first looked for a surgeon in my hometown. The appointment was Ok...but, I left feeling very uneasy about the lack of information I was given and judgement about what I wanted aesthetically. I decided to travel to Grand Rapids to get a second opinion from Dr. Van Pelt and felt immediately at ease with her. She gave me all the answers I was looking for, let me "try on" implants (which the other doctor did not) and kept her word about everything she told me 100% of the time from start to finish. The Partners In Plastic Surgery staff are all excellent, as well. They always got back to me when I had questions and were kind the entire time. The on-site surgical suite is absolutely spotless, state of the art and better than any hospital I've ever seen. I wasn't even nervous the day of my surgery. I'll never regret making the trip to Grand Rapids to meet and work with Dr. Van Pelt. Sometimes we forget that, as patients, we do have choices...it's empowering to remember that and chose the best for ourselves.

Dr. Van Pelt, is a well educated woman, surgical skills like no one else. For me, I had breast cancer and had two surgeons that were well known that just did not treat me with care that a woman who has to live with her body after a double massectomy should be treated. Dr Van Pelt has one level, top care, that a woman deserves, that to treat people fairly, give you educated decisions, weigh them out, decide the direction that is best for me!!!!! Thank you,

Dr Van Pelt was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout my entire reconstruction process. Her calm demeanor and focus on safety and precision, as well as individual treatment were a great fit for me during a difficult time. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
