I had a total thyroidectomy performed by Dr. Karipineni on November 7th. I am extremely satisfied with the results. It's only been a few days post-surgery and I already feel like my symptoms for Grave's disease are starting to go away. She made a minimal incision along my collarbone, and I am confident that the scar will be unnoticeable when it heals. I am lucky that I had local access to her, and did not have to travel to find such a skilled and experienced surgeon here in the Central Valley. She answered all of my questions with knowledge and honesty. If you are getting this procedure with her, know that you are in very good hands and that you are making the best choice to treat Grave's disease. Totally Awesome Doctor! She answered all my questions about removal of my Thyroid with a large Goiter for past 12 years! The surgery went just fine with no pain pills needed post op. As the family member of one of Dr. Karipineni's patients, I am so pleased with the quality of care my family member received. At the pre-op consultation, she very thoroughly explained the procedure, the risks and the contingency plans. Along with the staff at Fresno Heart and Surgery Center, she communicated with her patient (and family) in a kind, caring and professional manner, provided ongoing updates on the status of her patient, and explained how she would continue to monitor her patient for specific concerns. I had a few ancillary questions regarding quality of life issues to which she patiently explained a variety of options.
