Dr. Kenty U. Sian, MD

Dr. Sian’s office is kind and efficient. He is a great doctor who gives solid, practical advice. I probed a question to see if he’d say I need to lose weight after reading some of the reviews here, and he was very supportive in encouraging me to focus on healthy, safe ways to reach my goals and said to not to focus on the specific pounds. I think some people don’t realize that obesity can carry serious health risks, and a responsible doctor won’t approve surgery unless it’s safe—because your life is at stake. You can DIE if your body is too fat and you go in for surgery. Dr. Sian is straightforward and to the point, but he also makes an effort to engage in small talk and then always brings the focus back to the medical questions, which is exactly what a good doctor should do. To leave one star reviews simply because you didn’t like hearing the truth is unfair and misleading. He comes highly referred by Dr. Storey and the VA, and my experience reflects why—he’s an excellent physician who cares about doing things the right way.

In 2023 Dr. Sian removed a melanoma from the tip of my nose. This was a mentally and physical procedure for me. I found out he had taken the graft from my shoulder. This is totally different skin. The size of the graft was very large, leaving ridges on the edges and shiny tissue that caused me much heartache. He told me to give it a year to look good, but that was because the status of limitation would expire and I couldn't file a malpractice suit. What plastic surgeon doesn't know shoulder skin does not belong on the face?

I was approved by my insurance for a breast reduction but my Dr moved so I had to go here. Kenty Sian told me he would not submit my request. After telling me no, he said he would leave the room so I could take my top clothing off. I and everyone I have told this to find it super weird. Why would you need to see my breasts after you said no. I obviously said no and left. Standing there with your breasts out is violating enough why would I do it if I didn’t have to. I luckily had another referral and he has already said he will submit the request again.

This is the 2nd time I have come in to see him. This time he came in hot already not wanting to do the procedure. He didn't let me talk over talked me everytime I tried to speak. Made me feel like MY FEELINGS were invalid. The procedure would leave me with a huge fat cap that already causes me major issues and only said he could take the bottom. Said if I wanted to have the type of procedure I know he has done on someone else I have to pay out of pocket. He yes is rude and condescending. I have seen many doctors and this one I would never recommend. Sent me off to go get a second option which I would rather do then deal with this guy again.

I am writing with deep disappointment about my consultation with Dr. Kenty Sian last year. It has taken me a long time to build up the courage to even share this experience, and even longer to consider seeing another plastic surgeon because of how badly I was treated. I came in extremely vulnerable about lifelong insecurities, seeking help for a nose that has caused me emotional pain and social isolation. Instead of feeling heard or supported, I was met with total disregard. Dr. Sian was dismissive, curt, and made me feel like I was a second-class citizen. He seemed completely uninterested in my concerns and could not wait to leave the room, treating me as if I was an inconvenience rather than a patient who deserved compassion and professionalism. As someone living with disabilities and facing constant bullying over my appearance, it took tremendous courage to finally ask for help. The way Dr. Sian treated me only added to my anxiety and sense of worthlessness. No patient deserves to be treated this way, especially when exposing their deepest insecurities to a medical professional. I hope this complaint helps raise awareness so that other patients are not made to feel so disregarded and disrespected.
