Dr. Kamel kept us up to date, before during and after surgery. During our follow ups he's been straightforward and presented additional options to us. We met Dr. Kamel and the Craniofacial team of Hollywood back in May 2025 right after finding out about our son’s diagnosis of cleft lip & palate at our anatomy scan. We were able to consult with him and establish rapport with him as he’d be the surgeon to care for our son once he was here. Dr. Kamel was very friendly, understanding of our worries and concerns and assured us not to be worried about anything as our son was in the best of hands. And he was not wrong. We are so grateful to have had one of the best surgeons out there. The compliments our son receives after surgery are endless. It barely even looks like he had issues before hand which is exactly what any parent hopes for when their child is needing to have any form of reconstructive surgery done. Although we were nervous, all our worries went away as soon as we laid eyes on our son after surgery. No complications and no complaints. When I was in the hospital with my baby and we received her diagnosis, Dr. Kamel came right away — even after a long day in the operating room — to meet her and examine her. It was such a stressful and scary time, but he was there when my child needed him most. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and truly knows what he’s doing.
