Dr. Lo guided me through one of the toughest times in my life after I was diagnosed with breast cancer and decided on a double mastectomy. Dr. Lo and her team gave me all of my options so that I could make an informed decision; they were also incredibly empathetic and responsive to my many questions. Several months later Dr Lo performed a fat graft surgery to aid in a more natural look to my breast reconstruction. I was very pleased with the results. I would recommend Dr Lo and her staff to anyone seeking an experienced and thoughtful practice.

Dr. Lo is impressively knowledgable, professional, and a realist. She will tell you straight what your best options are for your health and appearance. Which is so refreshing as all the other medical staff treat you like a child who can’t handle the truth while going through cancer treatment. Every doctor I’ve seen since the reconstruction and graphing surgeries she performed on me said “Wow, who did your reconstruction, they did a fantastic job.” I will be seeing her again for “touch ups / maintenance.” Dr. Lo also corrected my Onc surgeon who said I could keep XYZ - Two days prior to my big surgery, Dr. Lo said, “You can’t keep (those) due to heightened risk of recurrence in that tissue. They need to go unfortunately.” Though that piece of news at that time sucked to hear, she was absolutely correct and very well may have saved my life. This is the plastic surgeon you want. If you need to be coddled and make your own decisions without professional input, then go elsewhere. If you want an experienced professional who genuinely cares about your health and aesthetics, go see Dr. Lo. Only thing… Don’t let her tattoo your girls. Go see a professional tattoo artist with experience, they have the right tools and ink for that.

I have been working with Dr. Lo for well over a year now and couldn’t possibly recommend her and her team more highly. Through my prophylactic double mastectomy and reconstruction and then my fat grafting surgeries, Dr. Lo, Sandra, etc. were not only super informed, organized, professional, and attentive, but also encouraging and reassuring. They somehow found a way to make what should have been a heavy, overwhelming, and daunting experience into something positive, uplifting, and empowering. They were always available to answer questions in a timely manner and really invested in getting to know me as a person, not just as a patient, which makes a world of difference. Finally, the results are phenomenal - genuinely so much better than I could have ever anticipated. I feel confident and healthy, all thanks to this wonderful team. 10/10 experience. Truly the best in Colorado.

I had direct-to-implant reconstruction after my mastectomy with Dr. Lo, and choosing her was a huge mistake. She was egotistical, cold, and completely lacking bedside manner from the very first appointment. I tried to tolerate it because I’d heard she was technically skilled — but the moment the surgery was over, the care basically stopped. Every question I asked was brushed off or gaslit. After my surgery, my breasts were obviously very swollen and I had asked what size she thought I would be once they settled so I could buy new bras. Her response was that I “didn’t need to worry about that.” When my breasts started looking uneven a few months ago, the office didn’t answer the phone for days. The staff member who finally called me back months ago was unbelievably rude — daughter of some doctor at the hospital- and even more rude when I came in for my appointment. (Sandra is the only person there who’s been even remotely decent.) At my follow-up, Dr. Lo acted annoyed I was even asking questions and dismissed every concern I had. Now, three months later, that same breast is riding up even higher and there’s a hard spot on the implant. I’ve called five days in a row.no answer. I left a detailed voicemail saying I was in pain and noticing changes that absolutely need to be checked. I got ONE call back, missed it by minutes, called back immediately — and then nothing. No follow-up. No concern. No attempt to reach me. Five. Straight. Days. As a medical professional myself, this is beyond unacceptable — it’s dangerous. Blowing off a postoperative patient reporting pain for nearly a week is absolutely appalling. I’m done. I’m switching surgeons immediately. Avoid this practice entirely if you expect a doctor who will actually hear you, care about you, or even pretend to take your symptoms seriously — or if you simply want a front desk that picks up the phone.

I have never had a medical provider look at me with such disdain as during my meeting with Dr. Lo. I was referred to her by a breast surgeon after recently finding out that I had breast cancer. When I started to tell Dr. Lo what my priorities were for my own body and well-being during this extremely sensitive time (I didn't care about symmetry, wanted the fewest surgeries possible, and wanted to discuss an aesthetic flat closure), her demeanor changed from one of interest and kindness to one of curtness and disgust. The services that she provided were not the services that I was looking for. However, rather than supporting me through a patient-centered discussion of how I could find the support that I wanted and needed, she treated me like someone that was not worth her time or energy or concern. My questions about various procedures and possible complications were dismissed and barely answered; some of her responses were downright rude. I left the appointment in tears, and my breast cancer journey was extended by weeks as I had to search for a different provider who would treat me with basic respect regarding my decisions about my own body. If your ideas for what you want your body to look like, especially regarding breast construction, align with her ideas for what she wants your body to look like, then great. (Although I would suggest pushing her on potential complications with direct-to-implant reconstruction, which she clearly wanted to gloss over in our conversation.) But a provider should be respectful and responsive to any patient, especially during such a sensitive and difficult time as breast cancer and surgery. Zero stars, would not recommend for anyone.
