It took me about 2 years to decide which surgeon to go with for my blepharoplasty surgery. This was in no way an easy decision since we only have 1 set of eyes, and I didn't take this decision lightly. All roads and research led back to Dr. Kauh, even though it meant traveling out of town for the procedure. I had interviewed surgeons in my hometown and within a 100-mile radius, but truly, there was no comparison. Another big deciding factor for me was that Dr. Kauh performs this procedure under local anesthesia with oral sedation, I did not want IV or even general anesthesia due to all of the risks they can come with; many surgeons offer upper blepharoplasty under local anesthesia, but a lower, transconjunctival blepharoplasty done under local anesthesia is almost unheard of. Dr. Kauh is an exceptionally skilled and meticulous surgeon. I was admittedly nervous about this surgery after reading so many mixed stories online, but Dr. Kauh and her assistant Misty made me feel at ease and confident in my decision. In fact, as I sat in the operating chair waiting for the medication to take effect, I made a last-minute decision to add a lateral brow lift, and Dr. Kauh’s team accommodated it seamlessly. In the end, I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition and fat removal, skin pinch, CO2 laser, and lateral brow lift. Even though the first 2 weeks were no picnic, understandably so when getting "the works," Dr. Kauh and her team were always readily accessible, and we were all amazed at my 1 week follow-up appointment at how quickly I healed. I had all of my stiches removed and flew back home right after. Even after returning home, Dr. Kauh remained responsive and attentive, promptly answering all of my questions and easing any concerns. The pictures I’ve included for this review were taken 23 days after the procedure, from my phone without any filters. 3 weeks later, my eyes not only feel amazing, but they also look amazing at age 63. I am over the moon with my results, the best decision ever! If you are on the fence, don’t hesitate. You are in gifted hands!

Dr Kauh and her staff were extremely nice, helpful, and professional from the moment I called to scheduled the appointment. Dr Kauh was very knowledgeable and explained my options in detail. She instantly put me to ease answering all my questions before the procedure. I could not have asked for a better experience!
