Dr. Starr and her team took wonderful care of me, not only is she an amazing plastic surgeon, her compassionate nature is exceptional! I would highly recommend her for any type of plastic surgery. Dr. Starr is the most incredible doctor I have ever met. She is so caring and patient. She truly listened to me. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty procedure. I was very nervous and Dr Starr help put me at ease through the entire process. She completely changed my life. I was so depressed seeing my eye bags every time I looked in the mirror. Dr. Starr is by far the most trustworthy, empathetic, and understanding doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to. I have gotten multiple types of work done with her and she does a fantastic job every time. She cares about her patients and remembers what’s going on in my life every time I see her, even if it’s been a year since I last saw her. I recently moved but have no plans of finding a new doctor for any future work I have done. I will always choose to travel just so I can have her be my doctor. Couldn’t recommend more.

I saw Dr. Starr for a matter that was becoming urgent and no amount of thanks nor compliments can truly express my gratitude to her and the staff at Holzapfel and Lied. I live in Louisville and suffered a gnarly forehead laceration from a fall that was treated and sutured in the ER. A week later my wound started to open and when the sutures were removed on day 10, it looked and felt horrible. I was told by the provider who removed them, "Don't worry, it will heal. At least it doesn't look infected." I left that office in tears. I called the office of Holzapfel and Lied, spoke with Theresa (everyone's absolute favorite nurse) who requested pictures of the wound. Dr. Starr saw these pics and recommended coming in right away. 2 hours later I am being numbed and prepped for the laceration to be surgically reopened, thoroughly cleaned, and closed with both internal and external sutures, after Dr. Starr discovered grass and debris in the wound. 24 hours later, the dressing was removed and already it looked better than imagined. I'm now 2 weeks out from that procedure and am absolutely thrilled with the results! Thanks to the education and follow up provided, I feel well prepared on what to expect and how to best care for my scar in the weeks and months to come. I am most appreciative of Dr. Starr's instinct and most impressed by her skill and bedside manner. She cared for my physical, mental, and emotional health by simply being attentive. She is EXTRAORDINARY!
