Excellent DIEP Flap Reconstruction Experience with Dr. Bianca Chin I am currently recovering from DIEP flap breast reconstruction surgery performed by Dr. Bianca Chin at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and I cannot say enough about the care, skill, and guidance I have received. My surgery was on March 31st, and I was able to return to work on April 16th — something many people might think would be impossible after such a major procedure. I truly believe my smooth recovery has been possible because of Dr. Chin’s expertise, her clear instructions, and the preparation I put in (because she was adamant about that) before surgery by following her recommendations. My surgery was actually delayed for about a year because I did not initially follow Dr. Chin’s precise instructions. Once I fully committed to her recommendations — including losing weight, exercising consistently, and following a healthier diet — I believe it helped prepare my body and contributed to a better surgical experience and recovery process. Dr. Chin was very clear (with some tough love) about what I needed to do before and after surgery, and following her instructions has made all the difference. I listened to her, trusted the process and all she explained to me what I could expect, and did exactly what she advised. My recovery has gone better than I ever expected, and my healing has been right in line with Dr. Chin’s expectations. To date, I have had no complications! I am extremely grateful for Dr. Chin’s expertise, and her meticulous attention to detail, and the confidence she gave me throughout this entire process. My results and recovery have been a total success so far, and I would highly recommend Dr. Bianca Chin to anyone considering breast reconstruction surgery. And to put my recovery in perspective— I am 58 years old!

Dr. Bianca Chin is an extraordinary surgeon whose skill, compassion, and honesty made one of the most difficult parts of my breast cancer journey far more manageable. She performed my DIEP flap reconstruction, followed by a balancing procedure and nipple recreation, and the results are truly remarkable — both in appearance and in how natural and comfortable I feel in my own body again. Dr. Chin has a unique bedside manner that blends kindness with directness in the best possible way. She is warm and deeply compassionate, but she also tells you exactly what you need to know, clearly and confidently. That directness comes from a place of genuine care and a desire for her patients to have the best outcomes. I always felt informed, supported, and treated as a whole person rather than just a case. Her surgical expertise is exceptional. The precision and artistry of her work exceeded anything I imagined was possible after a mastectomy. She explained each step of the process, prepared me thoroughly for recovery, and made sure I understood what to expect — never rushing, never minimizing my concerns. I am profoundly grateful for the confidence and sense of wholeness Dr. Chin helped restore. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone facing breast reconstruction, especially those considering a DIEP flap.

Dr Chin is the absolute best. I first saw her in 2024 when I was having a mastectomy and wanted reconstruction. I had spacers and then a follow up surgery for permanent implants. She did BEAUTIFUL work and was such a calming presence through a stressful experience. Found out today I don’t need to come back for 2 years and I’m genuinely sad I won’t see her until then!

I first met Dr. Chin a year ago when I found out I had breast cancer. I went to see her to learn more about the Diep flap procedure for reconstruction. I knew I didn't want to go the implant route. My experience with Dr. Chin was nothing short of amazing. I had a couple of visits with her leading up to my surgery that I had in June. She was always happy, smiling, asking how my family was every time I saw her. She was very informative about the process of the surgery. I felt very comfortable with her from the start. I had my surgery and after had to go back in for a minor complication. Dr. Chin fixed the issue no problem and back to my room for recovery I went. Her and her team took amazing care of me the two days I was in the hospital after my surgery. She did such an amazing job with the initial surgery, I didn't think I would need to go back for a phase 2 revision. She on the other hand is a perfectionist and takes pride in her work. She noticed she needed to fix a slight imperfection on the left breast. Three months after my original surgery, I went back in for my phase 2 revisions and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I had a hysterectomy done at the same time. Long story short, Dr. Chin is an amazing person and an amazing doctor. I highly recommend her for any surgery needed for your breasts.

What she did to me is criminal! I’m still in pain everyday after 5 years. She removed my ruptured implant, BUT LEFT THE SILICONE IN MY BODY, which is painful, along with painful seromas that I still have. Although, she claims the seromas have nothing to do with my surgery, really?. Asked her the difference between implants and uplift, she said “ the scar is longer.” She stole my inheritance, she charged me $22,000.00.She kept pushing implants, which I didn’t even want, but that there was only a 25% chance that I could get implants, but she would return my money $4,900.00, she lied about that also, I didn’t want implants. I made the mistake of telling her that my favorite Aunt just died and left me a small inheritance, big mistake. I cannot wear a traditional bra the left breast is larger, my nipple points down, making the appearance of no nipple at all just a brown round spot, there’s no hiding it, my breasts are slanted/crooked, a smooth incision around the left areola, but small incisions around the right areola, which looks like sun rays. Left a hole in my left breast, two years later, I have an electrical current in the same spot. Sent her a photo of the same a few months after the surgery, so she cancelled my appointment one day before by email. Cannot go without support or the pain is too much, cannot bend over or my left breast will fall out regardless of the support that I’m wearing. I reached out to Christ Hospital (whom I paid $3,000.00 for use of their facility) could not help me at the time because she was not employed by them, but she is now. Christ Hospital would not release my medical records, even though, I requested and signed affidavits Twice. She is a thief and a liar, she must have missed the oath of first do no harm, her skills are sloppy at best. When I called to make an appointment after one year to ask why she didn’t remove the silicone, she told me that I needed to see any plastic surgeon. I really liked her and thought she was going to help me but, she destroyed my beautiful body and posture, my mind, my heart, my soul. She and Christ Hospital destroyed me, they are birds of a feather. How could you? Why would you?
