Dr. Matthews was the first and most supportive doctor that gave me and my family hope for my daughter who was born with Trisomy 13 syndrome. He performed her cleft lip and palate repair surgeries which were so difficult and the success of the surgeries were so great and enabled our daughter the ability to not only smile but to eat by mouth and to breathe better. But aside from his brilliance as a surgeon it’s his humble and humane nature that sets him apart from any doctor I’ve met to this day. My daughter Destinee was given so little hope and everything was based on text book diagnosis. To the point we had almost given up on her medical staff and the support for her. It was Dr. Matthews who looked at my wife and with these words that turned allot around for a family who was only asking for some words of encouragement and support; “You know your child and God know the plan for her so don’t allow anyone to discourage you or make you feel something different from what you feel when you connect with your child”! Destinee came to visit him many times including when she was able to walk on her own which was one of the many things that other medical professionals had said wouldn’t happen, he asked, “Promise that you will bring her by when she can walk to me”! We did and it was a joyful moment for us all. Thank you for all your love, support and kindness.

Dr. Matthews is the very best example of what we all want in a doctor... a deeply competent and consummate professional who truly puts his patient's best interests before any other concerns. His assistant Cheryl is an angel. Very highly recommend.

Dr. Matthews has been my doctor since I was 6 months old, and I am now 21. He just completed another facial surgery for me due to my being born with bilateral cleft lip and palate. This office is phenomenal. Dr. Matthews and Cheryl work so well together. I could not be more appreciative of what they have done for me. I think Dr. Matthews has done about 9 or 10 surgeries for me. Cheryl went over and beyond with insurance on the last surgery to get it approved. She worked on approval for several months and got it approved! They are like family to me! Just can’t say enough good about them!

So thankful for Dr. Matthews! He performed my daughters surgery on her head when she was 11 months old and we r so thankful for him! He has great bedside manners and actually listens when u talk! Very informative! Would highly recommend him! THANK U SO MUCH DR. MATTHEWS!!

My experience was excellent! Dr. Matthews is the best Plastic Surgeon ever! His nurse , Ms. Cheryl is an Angel. She’s absolutely incredible like her boss. I love these two so very much.
