I spent a long time looking for the right surgeon because I wanted my results to look natural and still feel like me. I found Dr. Porter through someone online and loved how natural her work looked, so I booked a consultation and instantly felt comfortable. I traveled from Virginia Beach for my surgery, and the whole process was honestly smooth from start to finish. I had little to no bruising around my eyes, recovery wasn’t bad at all, and I was back to work after two weeks. Once my cast came off, I could already tell she gave me exactly what I wanted. I still look like myself, just more refined, which was the biggest thing for me. Dr. Porter and her staff were amazing throughout the entire experience and made me feel really supported. Prior to my surgery, I wasn't really sure what I wanted done with my nose. I knew I wanted the nostrils and tip to be smaller, but I didn't have a reference pic to show them what I wanted. They were able to morph two different images one was more conservative narrowing and one was more drastic (I fell in love with the drastic version!) . My consult was around November of 2025 and I had my surgery in April 2026. I was EXTREMELY nervous to have surgery, this was the first time I would ever be under general anesthesia. I cannot speak any higher of the staff at the surgery center, they were INCREDIBLE and Dr Porter also stopped by before the surgery to check in on me which I really appreciated. She let me know she would narrow my nose as much as my anatomy allowed it to be narrowed and then I was wheeled away into the operating room (I don't remember anything after that, I passed out lol) When I woke up there was a nurse by my side who walked me through post care (which I went over again the next day at my post op appointment) The surgery wasn't really painful outside of the first few hours, for the following week it just felt like I had a stuffy nose that I couldn't breathe out of. When I first saw my reflection on cast off day I could tell my nose was smaller but it looked like a potato because of the swelling! nevertheless, I could see the structure that would be my nose and I knew going into this PATIENCE was key and that it would take time to get to the final result. When Dr. Porter taped my nose it went from 0 to 100, it was like I could see a sneak peak of what my nose would look like once it settles and it looked incredible. I went home with my nose fully taped to hide the swelling. Everyone has told me that my results look really good so far (Currently 1.5 months post op) Kelly and Dr. Porter are both amazing. If you are on the fence about going through with scheduling, take this as a sign you won't regret it!
