Dr. Theunissen has been nothing short of amazing on my journey recovering from breast cancer and life after! He has given me the confidence I needed to feel like a woman again after birthing 2 babies and going through cancer. I had weight gain and loss up and down the last few years and decided to get a tummy tuck done last week and revision to my breast reconstruction and I’m already seeing that I will be exceedingly happy with the results! Dr T. is a wonderful Dr who gives you all of your options, answers every question, and is ALWAYS there when you have concerns. 100000/10 recommend he and his team they are truly a blessing in this industry!

Recently had a procedure at Recenter, by Dr Theunissen. From day 1, the minute I walked in I was met with smiles and just plain nice people! From the front desk, to the clinic staff, to the periop staff, every single person was just so nice, respectful and compassionate. And all clinically excellent. I’ve had great results so far, and not yet completely healed. I can’t thank Dr Theunissen and his staff enough!

I came to Dr. Theunissen Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of Baton Rouge for my tummy tuck and couldn't be happier with what a great job he did! He exceeded my expectations! During my first consultation, Dr. Theunissen was very down-to-earth, and I knew this was the office where I wanted to get my surgery. He answered all my questions and concerns. Brandy and the nurses were so friendly, and the office atmosphere was so calm. I plan to go back for my breast augmentation later this year because I'm so happy with my tummy tuck results!!!

Dr Theunissen did a beautiful job on my tummy tuck. The results are excellent! Before my surgery, I had sooooo many questions. Dr. Theunssen was so kind and patient with me in my consultation. I never felt uncomfortable or rushed at all.  He answered all my questions and concerns and addressed my expectations so I knew exactly what to expect.  They gave me all the information I needed to make a confident decision for my tummy tuck. I would highly recommend him if you're considering plastic surgery in Baton Rouge. I was referred to him by a friend from New Orleans, and I love my results! I would give him 10 stars if I could!

I selected this surgeon based on his website’s statement that he performs breast implant removal via en bloc total capsulectomy. I was experiencing symptoms consistent with breast implant illness and believed this approach was medically appropriate based on my research. During two preoperative consultations, I clearly stated that en bloc removal and total capsulectomy were non-negotiable for me. I was reassured that this would be performed and that postoperative photographs of the implants and intact capsules would be provided. Postoperatively, while the operative report states a total capsulectomy was completed, the photographs provided do not demonstrate en bloc removal or intact capsules. This discrepancy raised significant concerns. Additionally, on the day of surgery, there was a prolonged delay before being taken to the operating room, and the overall experience felt rushed. When I later sought clarification regarding these issues, I did not feel my concerns were adequately addressed. Based on my experience, I would advise prospective patients to seek very clear documentation, second opinions, and detailed postoperative confirmation when pursuing explant surgery.
