I’m a strong believer in loving yourself and feeling comfortable in your own skin! However, I know the difficult act of comparison (especially by being raised in a home with 5 older, beautiful women). I developed a big insecurity about my nose since I was 7 years old. I never felt like it fit my face, and no matter how hard I tried to love it, it was the first thing I would check in any picture or mirror. 17 years later, I finally accepted the fact that I wanted to truly love myself and stop bringing myself down over my own thoughts! We all have our own versions/visions of beauty, and I know I am beautiful in my own way too. The main reason I chose Dr. Tavizon is that I loved his work and how patients still look like themselves after procedures. I didn’t want to NOT look like myself; I just wanted to be more proportionate. When I spoke with Dr. Tavizon, he listened very attentively and gave me EXACTLY what I was asking for. His main priority was to keep me sane and comfortable. Surgery can be a very scary thing, so you must do research and find a comfortable space to do so. I felt safe when I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Tavizon on and asked him 50 questions that he did not hesitate to answer. He was patient and considerate. These are two vital characteristics a doctor should have, and he did! POST OP Post-surgery, I was given plenty of antibiotics, pain, and healing medications. Healing can be uncomfortable, but it went a lot smoother than expected! He gave me plenty of tips and schedules/steps to follow post-op. If you follow all the steps, then you’re in for a speedy recovery! Always keep in mind we all heal differently, and the procedure takes about a whole year to heal completely. If you accept this, then you can save yourself a lot of stress and just trust the process! There isn’t pain with the surgery; I think the biggest challenge is needing a strong mentality to push through the healing patiently. I’m almost 7 months post-op, and I feel so beautiful in my skin! I found a considerate and caring doctor, and I got what I wanted.

I had my rhinoplasty done with Dr. Tavizon and traveled from Canada for the procedure. From the perspective of an international patient, Dr. Tavizon is extremely skilled and knowledgeable in his work. Originally, I was planning to go to Turkey for rhinoplasty, but after doing extensive research, I came across Dr. Tavizon. I really loved how natural his results looked and how he focuses on enhancing and complementing your facial features rather than creating a one-size-fits-all result. One thing I appreciated was that he sets realistic expectations and boundaries. He’s the expert, and I think that’s very important in the cosmetic industry. You want a surgeon who is honest about what works best for your face rather than simply agreeing to everything. I’m only almost two weeks post-op, so I’ll provide an updated review with photos at the one-month mark. Another thing that was helpful is that he provides prescription medications post-op, so if you’re traveling internationally, there’s less stress about figuring things out afterward. Coming from Canada, it was honestly easier obtaining prescriptions in Mexico. One thing to keep in mind before surgery: Dr. Tavizon sends a list of required pre-op tests. In Canada, most of these were easy and inexpensive—many were even covered. The only challenge I faced was getting the CT scan. Because Canada has a public healthcare system, there are waitlists and private access isn’t available . I actually ended up going to the U.S. for that test. If your Spanish is limited, that’s not an issue. Dr. Tavizon offers services in both Spanish and English, which made the process much easier. I also loved that I experienced very little swelling and no bruising after surgery, but I really recommend following all of the pre-op instructions because they play an important role in recovery. He truly is a master of his craft, and I would absolutely recommend him to international patients. The only area I think could be improved is communication from the administration team. At times there were appointment changes and some miscommunication regarding scheduling. I understand they’re balancing many patients and responsibilities, but I think a more systematic communication process would improve the overall customer service experience.

I'm from the US and I got my nose done with Dr. Tavizon. I am so happy with my results and I get compliments from all my friends and coworkers. I would definitely recommend him as a surgeon you will be in good hands. I also felt safe and taken care of by his team and office.

To anyone looking for a talented surgeon who will understand your cosmetic and functional concerns, Dr. Tavizon is an excellent choice. I have no complaints about how my recovery has been or my results— I’m honestly very happy with the results! That being said, the communication between his assistant/receptionist was enough reason why I am hesitant to recommend his practice. As a receptionist who also works in the beauty industry, I understand first hand the importance of establishing a welcoming and supportive environment for my clients which is why I was frustrated and disappointed with the care we received from the receptionist. :( The primary point of communication is between the assistant and the patient— they are quite literally the face of the company. When I did not hear back from them about whether or not the had received my results from the assessment I did at my hospital, I reached out to ask and this was only when they informed me that they had not received the results. This was days before my consultation which was frustrating. As a receptionist and as someone who has worked within customer facing roles for many years, I completely understand that being in this line of work can be exhausting. Sometimes we genuinely cannot give our 100% to our clients. We all have our moments and I more than anyone completely understands that. However, the receptionist was often times blunt, short, a bit off putting with the way she would word things, and the general attitude towards us, specifically my mom, was very disappointing. During my pre op consultation, the assistant displayed unprofessional behavior towards my mom and even rolled her eyes at her at one point. Listen, I get being frustrated when wires get crossed and miscommunication happens. We all have our moments but it made my surgery experience feel very uncomfortable and awkward. Towards the end of my time there, I just wanted to leave. Again, I want to emphasize that I had a good surgery experience overall. Dr. Tavizon is an amazing surgeon, but the treatment my family and myself received was incredibly disappointing. Undergoing surgery is a big decision as it is but undergoing cosmetic surgery is an even bigger decision. Picking a surgeon is a decision grounded in months of research and consulting with other doctors. You put your faith in your surgeon and his team. Feeling even hesitant to reach out about questions I have even now that I’m two months post op is a disappointing thing. I’m not sure what happened with the previous reviews that someone left in regard to a similar experience with his assistant, but I wanted to make it clear that this is not a personality issue; it’s a professional issue. I would like to make it clear that my intention is to not talk badly about another individual, I sincerely appreciate the work and time she put into making my surgery happen! :) Being an assistant is hard work and I appreciate her work! I hope my experience can allow for improved communication and treatment of future clients. Wishing safe recovery to anyone considering seeing Dr. Tavizon for their surgery 🤍

I had surgery with this doctor in 2023, and the process was simple, convenient, and efficient, which is why I confidently recommended him to others. At that time, the evaluation was done virtually through photos and a Zoom consultation, and scheduling was very straightforward. In 2026, when I reached out again for my father, the process had changed significantly. Prices have nearly doubled (from $2,500 to $4,500), there is now a fee for the evaluation, and patients are required to either attend an in-person consultation or provide a CT scan of the sinuses prior to evaluation. For international patients, this adds additional travel costs, medical expenses, and time off work, especially since cosmetic-related scans are not covered by U.S. insurance. While I understand that policies and pricing can change, the convenience that once made this practice appealing to international patients is no longer the same.
