Dr. Joel Michel Dueñas is an excellent surgeon and an honest, trustworthy, and understanding person. I had consultations with four different surgeons and received different answers regarding my procedures: Abdominal Dermopectomy with Internal Corset (Tummy Tuck) VASER Liposuction of Upper and Lower Back Fat Transfer to Buttocks VASER Arm Liposuction with BodyTite Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) Dr. Joel Michel took the time to explain the procedures to me very well. We were planning to visit GDL from Washington for another medical treatment. After reading great reviews from another patient on real self and following his Facebook page. I was excited to reach out for a bichat (buccal) fat removal. However, I was disappointed that after 2 months of contacting on Facebook and emailing, I didn’t hear back. I almost gave up and booked with a another surgeon nearby but I thought to reach out again via WhatsApp and Instagram. Good news, they reach out right away and I was able to fit in my procedure during my visit. I was so happy! Fast forward, the day of my procedure I met Dr. Michel. He’s wonderful, caring and kind. He is detailed and explained expectations / outcomes. I used to work for a surgeon in the U.S and I am familiar with the routine. That said, Dr. Michel was outstanding—one of the best surgeons I have met. Of note, I am happy with my procedure and I healed so quickly. I was concerned that my right cheek was more swollen and bruised. After my one week checkup, I was reassured that my wounds were healed and I’m on track for recovery. And more importantly, my cheeks are more visibly slimmer. Yay!
