Dr. Jose is phenomenal! Not only did he fix my hernia, but he gave me the tummy of my 20s back again haha. He provided me exceptional care, his assistant Natalia is so sweet and helpful. If I decide to get anything else done in the future, he will be the first Dr. I'll call. Thank you Dr. Leon for making an otherwise scary surgery such a smooth and great experience.

From the moment you start scheduling calls, doing consults, Dr. Leon and his team are nothing short of amazing. It truly takes a solid team to make the experience a great one- from the lymphatic massage expert, to the driver who takes you to and from your hotel (Airbnb etc) to your appointments and surgery, the entire process was orchestrated very nicely. Dr. Leon’s work doesn’t end after your surgery- like any great doctor, he continues your care with follow ups via messages and coordinated zoom calls. I had surgery with Dr. Jose Leon Ortiz on April 7th, 2026 and underwent a rhinoplasty along with liposuction to my arms, thighs, and abdomen using J plasma technology. I can honestly say my experience from consultation through recovery was amazing, and I am extremely satisfied with both my results and the level of care I received. From the moment I arrived, the process felt organized, safe, and professional. During my consultation, everything was done in the same building where he operates and has his office. I met with a pulmonologist, a cardiologist, had my labs completed, and underwent all pre-surgical testing in one place. It made the process incredibly easy and eliminated the stress of traveling back and forth to multiple locations. I also didn’t experience the long waits I heard other women discuss while having surgery with different doctors. Dr. Leon Ortiz speaks both English and Spanish fluently, which made communication easy. He took a significant amount of time with me discussing my goals and expectations, and I never felt rushed or like I was just another patient. Unlike some surgeons who schedule multiple procedures daily, he focuses on quality and patient care. The care before surgery, during surgery, and especially after surgery was incredible. I met the anesthesiologist beforehand who thoroughly explained everything, and after surgery I had a nurse with me overnight managing my pain and making sure I was comfortable. Dr. Leon Ortiz personally checked on me and continued following up after I returned home with video calls and check-ins to make sure my recovery was going well. The level of precaution, attention, and care throughout the entire process was beyond anything I expected. He truly cares about his patients and their experience from beginning to end. He is absolutely someone I would recommend to family and friends, and I would return to him again without hesitation. If you are nervous about surgery abroad, I highly recommend Dr. Jose Leon Ortiz.
