I had a wonderful experience at AVANTwell in Barcelona. The clinic is beautiful, very modern, and relaxing. The staff were all super kind and professional. The girl who did my facial treatment was amazing, gentle, skilled, and really made me feel comfortable. I’m very happy with the results and highly recommend this clinic!

I waited seven months to leave this review, ensuring I was fair and allowing ample time for results to potentially improve. Given the consistently positive reviews by others, my experience surprised me, though perhaps this is because most reviewers didn’t receive doctor-administered treatments. Initially, I should have noticed the red flag: such treatments are only available one day per week, and the doctor providing them frequently changes. In October 2024, I visited the clinic seeking treatment for my neck and was recommended a hyaluronic acid-based therapy. Having previously had Profhilo treatments with good results, I mentioned this during my consultation. The staff informed me Profhilo was outdated and suggested Juvederm instead. I researched Juvederm and, finding it comparable, proceeded to book my session. However, upon arrival, a different doctor than the one I anticipated performed the procedure. She appeared rushed and used a Juvederm alternative without clearly informing me beforehand. Months passed, and I still had noticeable lines and lumps of product in my neck. Scheduling a follow-up proved challenging—it took almost two months due to unanswered messages and various excuses from the clinic, including doctors’ emergencies. During my eventual check-up, yet another new doctor explained that my skin had been incorrectly assessed and recommended radio-frequency treatments to dissolve the lumps. After three sessions, no improvement occurred. When I returned for another review, the overworked front-desk staff member initially dismissed my concerns, suggesting my sensitivity was the issue and claiming she couldn’t see any lumps in the clinic’s lighting. I provided photographic evidence taken in natural light, clearly showing the issue. Her response shifted to an irrelevant comment about my neck being “so long,” which did not address the actual problem. I asked explicitly how they intended to fix the issue, considering I paid a significant amount only to have my condition worsen. The clinic suggested removing the product but immediately noted the difficulty because the lumps were allegedly not visible. Despite requesting a solution, they ceased responding to my follow-up messages. To confirm my concerns independently, I consulted another clinic for an evaluation. Without any prompting, the doctor there immediately identified and physically examined the lumps, confirming the initial clinic’s errors. While I don’t believe the clinic intentionally caused harm, their handling of the situation afterward was disappointingly unprofessional—especially given the trust required when undergoing injectable treatments. If you’re seeking services like massages or non-medical procedures, you might have a better experience. However, based on my treatment and subsequent interactions, I would hesitate even then, knowing their approach when complications arise.
